LACSONIAN L.E.A.D. FOR TRANSFORMATIONAL CHANGE
(LACSONIAN LEADERS OF EMPOWERMENT WHO ADVOCATES DEVELOPMENT FOR TRANSFORMATIONAL CHANGE)

PLATFORMS:

1. SSG Financial Assistance
To extend financial assistance and support to students who are in need, ensuring that no Lacsonians are left behind in pursuing their education. This initiative aims to help ease financial challenges and provide opportunities for students to continue their academic journey with the support of the student government.

2. Wi-Fi Improvement
An initiative that advocates for stronger, more stable, and wider campus internet connectivity. The SSG will collaborate with the administration to identify weak signal areas, propose upgrades, and ensure that students have reliable internet access for research, online learning, and academic requirements.

3. Student Voice Hub
An online feedback and communication platform where students can submit their concerns, suggestions, inquiries, and feedback directly to the SSG. Submissions will be kept anonymous to encourage honest and open responses, ensuring that student inputs are not filtered or influenced. Through this system, the SSG commits to transparency, accountability, and timely action by carefully reviewing every submission and taking appropriate steps to address student concerns.

4. Connected as Juan: Peer Mentoring System
A student-led mentoring program that fosters senior–junior partnerships, where experienced students guide their juniors in navigating college life. Through this initiative, senior students can assist juniors in understanding challenging major subjects, share effective study strategies, and provide practical tips for succeeding in college. Beyond academic support, the program promotes leadership, collaboration, and peer support, strengthening unity among students while cultivating a culture of mentorship and bayanihan within the campus.

5. Water Fountain Restoration and Maintenance
An advocacy to restore, repair, and regularly maintain campus water fountains to ensure students have access to clean and safe drinking water. This initiative also promotes sustainability by encouraging the use of reusable water bottles, reducing plastic waste on campus.

6. Student Satisfaction Survey
Implement a face-to-face evaluation process for both faculty members and SSG officers to ensure that the integrity and reliability of evaluation results are preserved. This approach aims to encourage students to provide honest and constructive feedback without hesitation, helping minimize fear or bias in sharing their assessments while promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in both academic instruction and student leadership.

7. Boosting of Campus Activity Engagement
A program aimed at increasing student participation in campus events, academic initiatives, and organizational activities. Through improved promotion, stronger collaboration with student organizations, and engaging programs, the SSG will create a more active and dynamic campus environment. This initiative will also promote more maritime-related activities that help students develop essential practical skills, teamwork, and leadership, better preparing them for the demands of their future careers in the maritime industry.

8. Campus Groups
Help establish strong connections with NGOs, in-campus student councils, and internal clubs and organizations, while supporting the effective organization and management of student groups. This initiative aims to create opportunities for students and organizations to collaborate with one another and engage with external partners, strengthening partnerships that encourage shared initiatives, resource exchange, and collective growth. By promoting collaboration among internal organizations and external stakeholders, the program seeks to build a more unified, active, and empowered campus community.

9. Green Initiatives
A sustainability program that promotes environmental awareness and eco-friendly practices on campus. Activities may include waste segregation campaigns, recycling programs, and environmental awareness drives to encourage students to contribute to a cleaner and greener campus.

10. Recreational Activity Area
An initiative to advocate for the development or improvement of designated spaces where students can relax, socialize, and participate in recreational activities. This program supports student well-being, stress relief, and a balanced campus life by providing safe and accessible recreational spaces.
