The Special Operations Force (SOF) of Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental (CGS-NNOC), under the leadership of Station Commander CDR Artzell M. Anacan, PCG, conducted a Rescue Boat Operation and Maintenance Training for members of VMA CAGERS under the 1301st Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron (CGAS).โฃ

The training provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in the operation, handling, and maintenance of rescue boats, enhancing their capability to respond effectively during maritime emergencies and disaster situations.โฃ

The activity was initiated through the efforts of AUX CAPT Remedios Johanna S. Vargas, PCGA, Director Auxiliary Squadron (DAS) of the 1301st CGAS, as part of the continuing commitment of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary to support the Philippine Coast Guard in disaster preparedness, emergency response, and search and rescue operations.โฃ

As the search and rescue volunteer force of the 1301st CGAS, VMA CAGERS plays a significant role in augmenting the operational capabilities of the Philippine Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary during emergencies and disasters. Through specialized training opportunities such as this, members continue to develop the competence, discipline, and readiness necessary to serve communities in times of need.โฃ
