Louise Varela-Marcelo is a visual artist and interior designer from Bacolod City whose work is rooted in Scripture and personal testimony, weaving together nature, mental and emotional struggles, and the redemptive hope found in Jesus Christ.
Her paintings explore the tension between human frailty and God’s sovereign design, revealing how the effects of the Fall surface in inner turmoil, emotional complexity, and the quiet battles people carry, yet still bear the intentional fingerprints of the Creator.
Formerly shaped by misconceptions about Christianity, she now uses art as a witness and a form of service, pointing viewers to the true Christ of the Bible through visual reflections that speak to believers, seekers, skeptics, and the weary.
Each piece becomes a testimony, an invitation to reflection, repentance, and rest in the One who restores the soul, anchors the overwhelmed, and remains sufficient and near in every human struggle.
