What is it?

It is the independent, non-partisan governing body that implements election and appointment processes within the DepEd Learner Government Program. It standardizes how student leaders are chosen for the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) and Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG).

Quick Summary of the Top 5 Purposes & Goals:

Absolute Non-Partisanship: Acts as an in-school "COMELEC" where members cannot fund or endorse any candidate, ensuring a zero-bias, level playing field.

Standardized Criteria: Enforces uniform qualifications (academic standards, learner code of conduct, and parent consent) so screening doesn't vary from school to school.

Ballot Integrity: Solely responsible for preventing voting manipulation, double-voting, or miscounts across paper, Google Forms, or school portals.

Formal Judicial Branch: Utilizes a Grievance Committee to settle complaints like illegal campaigning or defamation quickly and transparently.

Real-World Training: Offers hands-on experience with democratic processes to teach civic duty, accountability, and the rule of law before adulthood.
