🌀⚠️ SUPER TYPHOON SINLAKU — The First of 2026!

The Western Pacific just got its first Super Typhoon of the year, and it's an absolute monster.

Typhoon Sinlaku has officially been upgraded to Super Typhoon status by the U.S. Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), packing sustained winds of 240 kph and gusts reaching up to 295 kph — that's powerful enough to cause catastrophic damage.

The storm is currently moving Northwestward at 15 kph and is expected to directly impact the Mariana Islands by Tuesday.

🙏 To our fellow Filipinos living in the Mariana Islands — please take this seriously. Prepare your emergency kits, secure your homes, and make sure your loved ones are safe before this powerful storm arrives.

☁️ As for the Philippines — the good news is that the chance of Sinlaku entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) remains LOW for now. But as always, we stay alert and keep watching! 👀

🚨 TRAGEDY STRIKES IN PONTEVEDRA, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL!

A Patient Transport Vehicle heading to Bacolod City lost control after swerving to avoid a tricycle, crashing into a light pole this Wednesday afternoon, April 8, 2026.

Sadly, patient Dalia Vertusio, 70, and PTV crew Peter Aguarin, 30, were declared dead on arrival. Two others, including the driver, sustained injuries.

Let us pray for the families of the victims. 🕊️🙏

At 10:53 PM, Kanlaon unleashed an ash emission — and authorities are urging the public to stay on guard against ashfall in affected areas.

This advisory comes straight from NDRRMC as of 11:04 PM, April 7, 2026. Stay indoors if you can, keep your windows closed, and protect yourself if you need to go outside. A wet cloth or mask over your nose and mouth goes a long way! 😷

Talisay Online strongly condemns the creation and use of fake accounts that aim to mislead and misinform the good people of Talisay. These fraudulent accounts spread false information, cause confusion, and damage the trust within our community.

🚨 We urge all Talisaynons to be vigilant. Please take note of the following:
