Ngayong araw ay ginugunita natin ang ikalabing-anim na anibersaryo ng pagsasabatas ng 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝟳𝟬 o ang “𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟬,” na isinulong nina Senator Ate Pia Cayetano at Senator Kuya Alan Peter Cayetano.

Sa ilalim ng batas na ito, pinagtibay ang pagtatatag ng Persons with Disability Affairs Office o PDAO, o ang pagtatalaga ng focal person sa bawat bayan, lungsod, at lalawigan upang matiyak ang mas maayos na pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng mga PWD.

Today, we remember the Last Supper and Jesus’ ultimate act of love and humility. As He washed the feet of His disciples, He taught us the true meaning of service, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

This sub-theme encourages women to embrace the leadership values of pre-colonial babaylans—wisdom, empathy, and collective care—and highlights their role in building balanced, resilient, and empowered communities.

💜✨The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) joins the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and the nation in celebrating the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 with the theme“𝙒𝙀 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮.” Additionally, the sub-theme for this year is “𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨, 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨!”

Ang National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) ay inaanyayahan ang buong bansa sa paggunita ng 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 alinsunod sa Proklamasyon Blg. 1385, s. 1975. 💙

Ngayong taon, tampok ang temang:
“Ginintuang Ani ng Pag-ibig Tungo sa Matagumpay at Tunay na Inklusyon.”

Ipinapaalala ng temang ito na ang inklusyon ay hindi basta adhikain—ito ay bunga ng tuloy-tuloy na malasakit, tamang suporta, at sama-samang pagkilos. Ang “ginintuang ani” ay sumisimbolo sa tagumpay na nakakamit kapag ang mga batang may intellectual disability ay nabibigyan ng maagang interbensyon, inklusibong edukasyon, at pantay na oportunidad sa komunidad.

Hinihikayat ng NCDA ang mga lokal na pamahalaan, paaralan, institusyon, at pamilya na higit pang palakasin ang maagang interbensyon, inklusibong edukasyon, at komprehensibong suporta. Ang tunay na inklusyon ay hindi lamang pagdiriwang tuwing may paggunita—ito ay konkretong aksyon, patas na oportunidad, at paggalang sa karapatang pantao at sa kapansanan araw-araw.
