Despite the rainy weather, the kids had a wonderful time at Rapha today!
There were plenty of indoor activities, lots of play, and, of course, good food in abundance!
But more than anything, knowing that they are loved, cared for and have a safe place to simply be kids—that’s what matters most to them.
While the kids were having a great time, their parents were able to attend our weekly Bible study and learn more about who God is.
A rainy day, but lots of joy, love, and meaningful moments all around.

Our mothers carry many responsibilities and face the challenges of everyday life with strength and perseverance. We were blessed to give them a special Pamper Day at Rapha.
They enjoyed a relaxing foot spa, massage and hair spa, along with delicious food, laughter and beautiful fellowship.
But more than anything, we wanted them to experience what it means to be seen, valued and cared for. To take a moment for themselves, feel special, and be reminded of their God-given worth and dignity.
We pray that this day reminded each mother that she is not forgotten. God sees her, loves her and cares deeply for her.

While the Drop-in Center remained closed today due to inclement weather, our staff made sure that the children would not go hungry.
Mothers or older siblings were able to pick up food packages containing rice, fruits, chicken, vegetables, boiled eggs, wheetbix balls and bread.
We certainly missed seeing the kids today, but we are thankful that, even while the Center was closed, we could make sure they had nutritious food to eat.
Caring for our children means being there for them—even when they cannot come to us.

Play is a major part of the time the children spend at our Drop-in Center.
Whether they are building their dream house—with a helipad, of course—at the blocks and Duplo corner, fighting a dragon to rescue the princess in our pretend-play corner, expressing emotions through art, or learning basic math skills through board games and puzzles, play is never “just play.”
For children, play is therapeutic. It helps them express emotions, develop confidence, learn to communicate and cooperate, solve problems, process experiences, and build important skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
For many of our children, it also means something beautifully simple: the freedom to just be a child—to laugh, imagine, create, explore and have fun.
That is why we intentionally make space for play at Rapha. Because when children feel safe, loved and valued, they can learn, grow and heal.

We are so grateful for the many donors and like-minded organizations who partner with us and support us in reaching children in need and their families. Together, we seek to bring lasting transformation through holistic care and the power of the Gospel.

Today, we want to give special thanks to Kids International Ministries for their continued provision of Manna Packs for our feeding program.
Every month, we prepare thousands of meals and snacks for children who come to our center hungry and malnourished.

Each morning, we begin the day with a hearty breakfast, followed by a time of Bible reading, singing, and prayer.
We are thankful that we can care not only for the physical needs of the children, but also nurture their hearts and point them to the hope we have in Christ.

Yesterday, we surprised our dear staff member Johanna with a baby shower as we celebrated the precious little princess growing inside her.
We are so excited to welcome this beautiful baby girl into our Rapha family! We pray for a safe and smooth delivery, good health for both mother and baby, and God’s protection and peace over them.

Today, we celebrated two of our outstanding staff members for the month of July. Congratulations to our Employees of the Month - Anegin and Jennifer!

May you continue to serve God by sharing His love with the children at Rapha. Your dedication has been a great blessing, creating a safe and loving space where the kids can grow in God's love while being nurtured and supported every step of the way.

Rapha Ministries is able to provide an even more comprehensive, holistic, and high-quality care thanks to professional volunteers who generously give their time, expertise and hearts to serve the children, parents and even our staff.
From occupational therapists, dentists, and doctors to other dedicated professionals- each one plays a vital role in our ministry. Their compassion, love, and willingness to serve are an incredible blessing, and we are deeply grateful for the difference they make in the lives of those we serve.

Yesterday, the expecting mothers in our Ermanatics Program gathered for their monthly session.
To help ensure that both mother and baby receive the nutrition they need, each woman received vitamins, milk powder, rice, eggs, and fresh vegetables.
Along with these essential food items, licensed midwives conducted prenatal check-ups and provided an educational session, ensuring comprehensive care throughout pregnancy.
We are deeply grateful to Tulong Lasalyano for investing in the first 1,000 days of these precious children's lives. Prevention is always better than cure, and this program plays a vital role in preventing chronic malnutrition and its devastating effects on a child's brain development, growth and future potential.
Together, we are giving these children the healthiest possible start in life!
