Matthew 6:19–21

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21

What we value directs the path we take. What captures our attention affects what we look at, and what we continually look at shapes the way we live.

Jesus reminds us not to build our lives around treasures that do not last, but to invest in what has eternal value. At the same time, we must guard what we allow to capture our attention, because what we continually focus on can shape our desires, decisions, and direction.

Let our hearts be set on what truly matters and our lives directed toward treasures that have eternal value.

Sunday Service
9.20.2026

Last Sunday, the church was reminded through Matthew 6:16–18 that fasting must come with the right motive. Fasting is not about making ourselves look gloomy or showing others that we are fasting so that we may be seen and recognized by people.

Fasting is about turning our hearts toward God—to commune with Him, humble ourselves before Him, and lean on Him rather than on ourselves. It should lead us nearer to God, not toward the approval of people.

As Jesus said, our Father sees what is done in secret.

The kids learned from 𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒔 12:6 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐺𝑜𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑔𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑜𝑓 𝑢𝑠 𝑑𝑖𝑓𝑓𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑔𝑖𝑓𝑡𝑠 𝑎𝑐𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝐻𝑖𝑠 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑤𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚 𝑓𝑎𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑓𝑢𝑙𝑙𝑦.

We also started our Ministry Skills Training, where members of our Worship Team shared what they know about singing and playing instruments with the kids. We started with the basics to help them build a good foundation.

A big thank you to Ptr Nelson Mendoza for his continued support for the Kids Ministry. May God bless you more and continue to use you for His greater glory.

To God be all the glory!🙏

𝑨 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒌𝒊𝒅𝒔!

Yesterday, we took time to revisit and recall the Bible verses and Books of the Bible the kids have learned from our previous lessons. Through fun activities, they had the chance to 𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒚, deepen their 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅, and be reminded that God’s Word is not just meant to be memorized, but 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒖𝒕 in their daily lives. 📖

A heartfelt thank you to Ptr. Nelson Mendoza for your generous heart and continued support for the Kids Ministry. May God bless you abundantly and continue to use you for His greater glory.

Blessing isn’t always about what we receive.
Sometimes, it’s about who we become through what we go through.

God is more concerned with our character than our comfort.

The kids continue to grow in God’s Word, one verse at a time, as they learned and memorized Romans 10:9 last Saturday:

“𝐼𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑓𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑚𝑜𝑢𝑡ℎ 𝐽𝑒𝑠𝑢𝑠 𝑎𝑠 𝐿𝑜𝑟𝑑, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐺𝑜𝑑 𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝐻𝑖𝑚 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑒𝑎𝑑, 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑏𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑑.”

They also had fun putting the words together to form the complete verse! 🧩 It was a simple but meaningful way to help them remember God’s Word.

Thank you Ptr. Nelson Mendoza for your unwavering support and generosity toward the Kids Ministry. May God continue to bless you and use you for His glory! 🙏

To God be all the glory! ✨

Last Saturday’s lesson was from 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏:𝟏𝟐, reminding the kids that those who 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 are given the 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅.

We also put their memory of the Books of the Bible into action through a fun activity, where they identified whether a certain book belongs to the Old Testament or the New Testament. 📖

Thank you, Ptr. Nelson Mendoza, for your continued support of the Kids Ministry. May God bless you abundantly! 🙏

To God be all the glory!
