When disaster strikes, preparation is our strongest defense. ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒ
Thatโ€™s why our team of fellow angelites and faculty took the initiative to distribute HOPE Kits โ€” a simple yet meaningful step toward community safety and awareness.

More than just giving out essentials, this experience brought us closer together as a team with one goal in mind: to inspire readiness and resilience. ๐Ÿ’™ Seeing everyoneโ€™s enthusiasm reminded us that even small actions can make a big difference when it comes to saving lives.

โ€œPreparedness is more than survival โ€” itโ€™s love and hope in action.โ€ ๐ŸŒฟโœจ

Yesterday, the Bag of Hope: Ready for Calamities team gathered together with one shared purpose โ€” to fill each bag not only with essentials, but with compassion and hope. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

With teamwork, laughter, and care, the packing team prepared the Hope Kits, each thoughtfully filled with emergency essentials, first aid items, and food and water supplies that will help our beneficiaries be ready in times of calamity.

Every item placed in the bag was done with intention โ€” a reminder that preparedness is also an act of love, faith, and service to others. ๐ŸŒโœจ

Because when we prepare together, we strengthen not just our readiness, but our sense of community and care. ๐Ÿ’–

Earthquakes are sudden and unpredictable natural events caused by the shifting of the Earthโ€™s plates beneath our feet. They can strike at any time often without warning and can cause serious injuries or damage within seconds. Earthquakes can happen without warning โ€” but being prepared can make all the difference.

Remember these three simple yet life-saving steps:

DUCK โ€” Get down on your hands and knees to protect yourself from falling objects.
COVER โ€” Take cover under a sturdy table or desk. Protect your head and neck with your arms.
HOLD ON โ€” Stay where you are until the shaking stops. Hold on to your shelter firmly.

Preparedness starts with awareness. Practice Duck, Cover, and Hold and help protect yourself and others when disaster strikes.

Each Bag of Hope was thoughtfully packed with essentials meant to provide safety, nourishment, and care for our beneficiaries because being ready is more than just survival, itโ€™s an act of love and compassion. ๐Ÿค
