PAMPANGA’S ULTIMATE DANCE CREW BATTLE – SEASON 2 MECHANICS ENTRY CRITERIA 1. The dance competition is “open” to all dance groups in Pampanga. 2. Participants must be an official member of dance group. 3. Each participating groups is required to register before the competition. (P 300.00) 4. Entry should have a minimum of ten (10) members and a maximum of fifteen (15) who may either composed of all male and female or a combination of both. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS 1.The dance piece can be composed of dance genre such as- jazz, break dance, hip hop, crumping or combination of any. 2. Dance routine should be a minimum of three (3) minutes and maximum of seven (7) minutes performance. One point shall be deducted from each judge for every five (5) seconds exceeding the time limit. 3. Use of props will be allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program and those that may harm the performance of other groups. Props such as oil, confetti, fire, broken glass, live animals, sharp objects and the like are strictly prohibited. 4. All participants should conduct themselves in a manner displaying good sportsmanship throughout the competition. Any demonstration of unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification. MUSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1.All songs used in the performance piece must be appropriate and suitable for any age. Foul taste in music such as profanity will result in disqualification. 2. The participating group must submit their music to the organizer a day before the start of the event. 3. The competition music must be the only piece of music and recorded on a CD (MP3 Format) and USB. 4. The group name and title of the performance/musical piece must be printed on the CD. PERFORMANCE ORDER Groups must be present during the draw lots for the order of performances the day before the start of the competition. NOTE: All participating groups should arrive an two hours before the time of the event for the draw lots. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING and POINT VALUE CHOREOGRAPHY 20 POINTS (dance arrangements, concept) THEME & MUSIC 20 POINTS (musicality, beat technique/syncopation, Timing, moves related to music) ORIGINALITY 20 POINTS (incorporating unique & original/creative moves) PERFORMANCE 30 POINTS (entertainment value, staging, spacing formation & level/changes, synchronization, ex*****on showmanship & variety of routines) AUDIENCE IMPACT 10 POINTS (Crowd appeal)
