BKB IN ACTION | STUDENT LEADERS TAKE ACTION FOR A SAFER, HEALTHIER SCHOOL

The Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) Officers, together with Youth for Environment and School Organization (YES-O) Officers, continue to take an active role in promoting awareness and educating students about the strict prohibition of smoking, va**ng, and the use of other harmful chemical-based products within the school premises.

As part of the continuing No Smoking and Vape-Free Campaign, the student leaders took action by posting printed information and awareness materials in classrooms and putting up campaign tarpaulins in strategic areas around the school.

Through these efforts, the BKB and student leaders aim to strengthen studentsโ€™ awareness, encourage responsible choices,help maintain a safe, healthy, and smoke- and v**e-free school environment.

Parang kailan lang nang huli tayong nagdiwang, at ngayon ay muling sumapit ang Buwan ng Wika! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญโœจ

Ipagdiwang natin ang ating wikang pambansaโ€”ang simbolo ng ating kultura, kasaysayan, at pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino. Sa makabagong panahon, patuloy nating pahalagahan at payabungin ang wikang Filipino sa tulong ng teknolohiya bilang katuwang sa pagkatuto at pananaliksik.

Sa temang "Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay ng Impormasyon," patunayan natin na ang tamang paggamit ng teknolohiya at AI ay malaking tulong upang mapanatiling buhay at payak ang ating wika tungo sa mas malawak na kaalaman.

Ngayong buwan ng Hulyo, sabay-sabay nating ipagdiwang ang Nutrition Month! Paano nga ba nagkakaugnay ang wastong nutrisyon at ang ating kampanya laban sa masasamang bisyo? ๐Ÿค”

Ang tunay na "Barkada," nag-aakayan sa tamang landas! Kaya naman ngayong buwan, pinapaalala ng Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) na:

โœจ Nutrisyon ang Pundasyon: Ang katawang malusog at busog sa tamang pagkain ay may lakas na tumanggi sa sigarilyo, alak, at iligal na droga.

โœจ Kalusugan ay Ingatan: Ang bisyo ay nagnanakaw ng lakas, pera, at pangarap. Bakit natin sasayangin ang ating kalusugan kung pwede naman nating pakainin ang ating katawan ng masustansyang pagkain at positibong gawain?

โœจ Tunay na Alaga: Ang tamang nutrisyon ay hindi lang para sa katawanโ€”ito rin ay para sa matalas na pag-iisip at masiglang pamumuhay!

Ang pagpili ng smoke-free lifestyle ay hindi lamang para sa ating kalusuganโ€”ito rin ay para sa ating kalikasan. Sa bawat sigarilyong iniiwasan at bawat upos na hindi itinatapon sa kapaligiran, nakatutulong tayong mabawasan ang polusyon at mapangalagaan ang mundong ating tahanan.

Bilang pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng World No To***co Day at National No Smoking Month ngayong buwan ng Hunyo, nagsagawa ang Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) Team ng Mapita Integrated School ng iba't ibang gawaing pangkamalayan upang mapalawak ang kaalaman ng mga mag-aaral tungkol sa masasamang epekto ng paninigarilyo at kahalagahan ng pagpapanatili ng isang malusog at responsableng pamumuhay.

Sa pamamagitan ng information dissemination, paglalagay ng advocacy materials sa bawat silid-aralan, at pagsasagawa ng maikling talakayan at kampanyang pang-edukasyon na pinangunahan Ng mga BKB Officers tungkol sa masasamang epekto ng tabako, v**e, at ni****ne, muling napaalalahanan ang mga mag-aaral sa mga panganib na dulot ng mga ito sa kalusugan.

Kaakibat nito ang patuloy na pagsuporta sa mga patakaran ng Department of Education (DepEd) na nagtataguyod ng isang Smoke-Free Learning Environment, kung saan mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ang paninigarilyo at paggamit ng v**e sa loob ng paaralan.

Ang matagumpay na pagsasagawa ng programang ito noong Hunyo 18โ€“19, 2026 ay naging posible sa pagkakaisa Ng BKB officers at sa suporta ng aming BKB Adviser,Ma'am Brisha Eryka Faye Recto,at Ma'am Emelia Calipio.
