because we saw the need for children, particularly those in early childhood and primary schools to have access to fiction and non-fiction reading books. We wanted young children to be inspired by books just as we were when we were their age, so that their imaginations could bring them to places outside of their villages and drive them to work for more than what they had. We want to develop a cultu

re of reading and literacy that will motivate children and encourage them to excel in their education. Being lawyers, literacy is a vital skill in our profession, and we understand the importance of reading and comprehension. Thus, we want to share our message with those in our respective village communities. We have been working professionally for 3 years and we thought it was time for us to give something back to our home communities.

A BIG thank you to everyone who supported our 2024 Corporate Book Drive.

From July to October, Lawyers 4 Literacy ran its very first book drive, calling on our corporate community to help us collect books for schools in rural Papua New Guinea.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to gather all donations by November and deliver them to schools where they’re needed most. More books in more hands means more opportunities for learning and growth.

We’re especially grateful to the amazing teams at Leahy Lewin Lowing Sullivan Lawyers, PNG Air CreditBank PNG , Abt Associates and NWTL GROUP for coming on board and making a difference.
