๐ŸŒฟ WELCOME TO SILI-MULI SINGSING GROUP INC. ๐ŸŒฟ

Welcome to the official page of Sili-Muli Singsing Group Inc.

Sili-Muli Singsing Group Inc. is an incorporated Indigenous cultural organisation rooted in the ancestral jungles and customary lands of the Kapupin Tribe, Ambum LLG, Enga Province, Papua New Guinea. Our culture is born from the forests, rivers, songs, and sacred spaces of Ambolam and Okok Villages, where the Temok and Kii clans have lived, protected, and passed on their heritage for generations.

๐ŸŒฟ Sili-Muli Singsing Group was Cultural Birth within the Kapupin Tribe. Since its inauguration in 1994 at the then first Ever Enga Cultural Show, Sili-Muli emerged as a new cultural asset of the Kapupin Tribe, created by young women of the Temok and Kii clans of Ambolam and Okok Villages, under the innovative leadership and vision of Ms. Esther Paiara. From that moment, the Sili-Muli womenโ€™s singsing tradition took root and was embraced, nurtured, and treasured by Kapupin girls as their own living culture, a legacy that continues proudly to this day.

๐ŸŽถ We from the Sili-Muli Singsign Group strongly believe that Culture, Land, and Identity Are One. Sili-Muli is more than performance. It is a cultural expression inseparable from:

- Kapupin tribal land and rainforest ecosystems
- Sacred plants, mosses, and natural materials used in costumes
- Womenโ€™s knowledge, songs, movement, and ancestral stories
- Clan unity, responsibility, and cultural discipline

Every costume, rhythm, and design carries meaning and ancestral responsibility.

๐Ÿ“œ Sili-Muli Singsign Group is an Intellectual Property and therefore it must have its Cultural Custodianship basing on Engan traditions and Customs. The Sili-Muli Singsing tradition remains the Intellectual Property of the Kapupin Tribe because its founder and the initial young girls who started this group and the subsequent young women and men who continued the Sili-Muli legacy hail form the Kapupin Tribe. At the same time, cultural custodianship and official governance of the group are carefully overseen by the founder, to ensure:

-Justice and fairness exist within members of the group, and these members are largely recruited from the Kapupin Tribal population
- Protection from misuse or misrepresentation
- Respect for customary authority and womenโ€™s cultural rights
- Compliance with national and international cultural exchange standards

This approach ensures that no Kapupin clan or family is excluded, while safeguarding the integrity of the culture for future generations.

๐ŸŒ Now, let us explain Why This Page Exists. This Page has been created to:

-Share the story, values, and history of the Sili-Muli tradition
-Promote ethical and respectful cultural performance
-Preserve traditional knowledge and womenโ€™s heritage
-Support environmental conservation linked to Kapupin land and culture
-Engage responsibly with partners, institutions, and supporters

Through this platform, we will share:
๐ŸŽญ Cultural performances and oral histories
๐ŸŒฟ Conservation and community-led initiatives
๐Ÿ“œ Cultural education and documentation
๐Ÿค Partnerships rooted in respect and consent

๐Ÿ“ Kapupin Tribe, Enga Province
๐ŸŽถ Culture | ๐ŸŒฟ Conservation | ๐ŸŒ Community

This is the official and recognised platform of Sili-Muli Singsing Group Inc.
We warmly invite all Kapupin tribal members, friends, supporters, and partners to follow, engage, and stand with us as we protect and promote our cultureโ€”from the jungles of Enga to the world.

๐ŸŒฟ Our culture. Our land. Our responsibility ๐ŸŒฟ
