This month, the Clean Generation Movement was privileged to host another inspiring mentoring session facilitated by The Voice Inc. (TVI), featuring Mr. Bruno Siare as our guest mentor.

Bruno shared his journey from growing up in Gerehu and overcoming family challenges to becoming a leader in government and corporate affairs. He reflected on how his first leadership opportunity came when friends encouraged him to run for a Student Representative Council position, proving that leadership often begins when others see potential in us before we see it ourselves.

He also spoke about how a passion for reading sparked his interest in public policy and its power to shape communities, institutions, and systems.

Today, Bruno serves as Government and Corporate Affairs Lead at TWM Group, bringing together his background in Environmental Science with expertise in governance and public policy.

His message to our young leaders was simple yet powerful: leadership is not reserved for the exceptional. It starts with curiosity, perseverance, and the courage to take the next step.

On Monday 10th to Friday 14th August, our team continued our engagement with young people by setting up a booth at the NCD Secondary Schools Career Expo 2026. The week-long expo brought together Grade 12 students from schools across NCD and Central Province, providing an opportunity for the our team to speak directly with students about the Clean Generation movement and the opportunities available through The Voice Inc (TVI).

We shared stories of what young people across Papua New Guinea are already doing through the Clean Generation movement, including the UNRE CleanGen students who led a library enhancement project in East New Britain in 2024. Students also learned about scholarship opportunities and TVI's new Bachelor’s program, with the team encouraging them to explore pathways for further education, leadership development and community impact.

We is truly grateful to all the students who visited our stall, asked questions and showed interest in the Clean Generation movement. Your energy and willingness to engage are reminders that the future of Papua New Guinea is already in motion 🇵🇬

We also thank all our CleanGen student leaders who volunteered to be part of team at our stall during the expo.

CleanGen at the IBSU Student Wellbeing & Resilience Summit 2026!

We were proud to participate in the 2026 IBSU Student Wellbeing & Resilience Summit 2026 on 7th August 2026 by hosting a promotional booth to showcase the CleanGen Academy online learning platform and share information on our program offerings.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with students and demonstrate how CleanGen Academy supports learning and personal development through accessible online training.

We are excited to share that 75 students registered their interest to sign up for the platform, reflecting strong enthusiasm for flexible learning and leadership development opportunities for our youth.

Thank you to the Management of IBSU for having us and a warm thank you to everyone who visited our booth. We look forward to welcoming our new learners to the CleanGen Academy community!

On Wednesday the 5th of August we continued our CleanGen Roadshow by participating in a Mini Robotics Fair at Kerevat National School of Excellence in East New Britain, connecting with students through an information stall introducing the movement and its opportunities. Our team shared information on CleanGen programmes, scholarship opportunities, CleanGen Academy sign-ups and tertiary education pathways through our Bachelor for Transformative Leadership and Human Potential.

The stall attracted strong interest and engagement from Kerevat NSOE students throughout the fair. Through engagements like these, CleanGen continues to connect young Papua New Guineans with opportunities to learn, lead and build their futures 🎓🇵🇬

Thank you UNRE for bringing the energy!🌋

On Monday the 3rd of August we kicked off our CleanGen Roadshow by hosting a Community Gathering for our student movement at the University of Natural Resources and Environment! The event was an opportunity for the students in attendance to learn more about the history of The Voice Inc. (TVI) and the Clean Generation Movement whilst also being introduced to the offerings available to all members in 2026 🇵🇬

Among the key offerings shared was our new and improved CleanGen Academy which allows individuals to join the CleanGen Movement, commence their leadership journey through our online modules and connect with TVI to participate in our various programs.

We had over 90 young people present at the event! We thank our Centre for Leadership (CFL) Student Leaders for UNRE for not only keeping the CleanGen movement alive but for building such a great momentum this year 💪🏾

We look forward to an amazing remainder of 2026 in UNRE!

This month, the Clean Generation Movement was privileged to host another inspiring mentoring session facilitated by The Voice Inc. (TVI), featuring Ms. Samantha Kuman as our guest mentor.

Samantha shared a deeply personal and inspiring journey from becoming a young mother while studying at university, to graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, and navigating the challenges of building a career with resilience and purpose.

She reflected on how her heritage and connection to her home community continue to shape her work, particularly in addressing the impacts of extractive industries on local environments and communities.

A key highlight of the session was her experience in a Graduate Development Program, where she learned that technical knowledge alone is not enough. She encouraged participants to embrace values that create lasting impact:

These values became the foundation of her career in environmental monitoring, baseline studies, safeguarding, and national environmental initiatives. Samantha also shared that career setbacks became opportunities for new growth and leadership.

One of her most powerful reminders came from Romans 8:28:
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him."

She encouraged participants to remain grounded in our purpose, continue adding value wherever we serve, and never lose sight of who we are.

Her closing message resonated with everyone in the room:

"Stay grounded in your Melanesian identity. Know who you are as a Papua New Guinean, and wherever life takes you, strive to be a person of value."

Congratulations to our University of Natural Resources and Environment (UNRE) CleanGen team, led by CFL Coordinator Bethany Tapoli, for successfully delivering the UNRE CleanGen Mentorship Workshop on the 21st of June.

The workshop brought together 41 participants, including six who joined online via Microsoft Teams, with strong participation from students and leaders of the Provincial Associations. Participants explored the foundations of the CleanGen Movement, its history, leadership roles, and the many opportunities available through the movement.

We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved and extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed, including guest speaker Mr. Alex Nugi, UNRE Farm Manager, for sharing his leadership journey.
