The Miripari Orchid: Miss Datec PNG Winning Sarong♥️🇵🇬

It’s not just an orchid.♥️

This delicate yet resilient flower embodies us—the women of Papua New Guinea. Just like the Miripari Orchid, we carry within us the strength to rise and the beauty to bloom, no matter the challenges we face.

From my Pildimna mother, this orchid stands as a testament to every brave-hearted woman. It symbolizes my story, my roots, and the unwavering strength passed down through generations of PNG women.

We are the keepers of culture, the nurturers of families, and the warriors of change. Beneath our grace lies an unyielding spirit—a beauty and power that can’t be dimmed.

To every woman in PNG and beyond, let this orchid remind us of who we are. Together, we thrive. Together, we bloom.

To My Sisters in Pageantry,

This is a heartfelt acknowledgment of the extraordinary moments we’ve shared during this beautiful journey. From the laughter that echoed in our preparation rooms to the late nights when fatigue pushed us to dig deeper, we’ve built memories that will forever remind us of our strength, resilience, and shared purpose.

Through this experience, I have seen the brilliance, intelligence, and grace each of you carries. Together, we have celebrated moments of joy, supported each other through challenges, and shared dreams that inspire us to aim higher. In this sisterhood, we’ve proven that unity and purpose are powerful forces for change.

To our reigning queen, Miss Paradise Boutique, May Hasola, your crowning moment deserves its own acknowledgment, which will follow this post. Thank you for your humility, grace, and leadership. Sharing the stage with you has been an honor, and you’ve inspired all of us to continue striving for greatness.

Through our diverse fields and aspirations, we carry the collective hope of shaping Papua New Guinea into a nation that values empowerment, innovation, and unity. We are women driven by the desire to uplift our families, communities, and country. As ambassadors of change, we envision a future where our talents create opportunities, our voices inspire transformation, and our love for our culture and people binds us stronger together.

Here’s to us, not only as contestants but as trailblazers, mentors, and women of purpose. May we continue to inspire and support each other as we work toward a brighter PNG.

Acknowledgment and Gratitude to My Incredible Team and Friends♥️🇵🇬

To my remarkable pageantry team and the wonderful friends who stepped in to assist, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude. Your unwavering support, dedication, and enthusiasm have been the backbone of this journey. Every late-night brainstorming session, creative contribution, and word of encouragement has been a testament to the incredible power of collaboration.

Your willingness to give your time, energy, and skills is not just an act of kindness—it’s a profound investment in the vision we are building together. It’s often said that “human resources are the greatest resources,” and you’ve proven this to be true. The heart, passion, and determination each of you brought to the table is something money cannot buy.

To the world, I want to highlight this truth: appreciating the people who pour themselves into a cause is not just important—it’s essential. Human effort, creativity, and care are irreplaceable. Let’s not overlook the individuals who stand behind every success story. Recognize them, value their input, and let them know how indispensable they are.

To my team, I leave you with this advice: continue to believe in the value of what you do. Your talents, your hard work, and your humanity are your superpowers. Never underestimate the impact you’re making—not just in this project, but in every life you touch along the way.

Thank you for being the phenomenal individuals that you are. Together, we’ve achieved something extraordinary, and I look forward to many more milestones with you all by my side.

With love and gratitude,♥️

During my one day visit with the Red Cross Special Education Resource Center and together with my fellow contestants sister, I was introduced to the alphabetical system of sign language. It opened my eyes to how communication barriers can be broken with patience and the willingness to learn. Sign language isn’t just a tool; it’s a bridge that connects communities, fosters understanding, and creates a world where no one feels left out. This experience reminded me of the importance of accessibility—not just in communication but in every aspect of life.

How Can We Help?🇵🇬♥️🙋‍♀️

To support organizations like this and the children they serve, here are a few ways we can make a difference:
1. Volunteer Your Time: Whether teaching, mentoring, or simply offering companionship, your presence can have a profound impact.
2. Raise Awareness: Host events, share stories, or advocate for inclusive policies that address the needs of children with disabilities.
3. Contribute Resources: Donate learning materials, assistive devices, or even funds to help sustain their programs.
4. Champion Accessibility: Advocate for schools, public spaces, and communities to become more inclusive through better designs and policies.♥️🫶🏼🇵🇬

The Red Cross Special Education Resource Center: A Gateway to Inclusion🇵🇬

One of the most inspiring places I’ve had the privilege to learn during the MBOP Pageant week is from the Red Cross Special Education Resource Center. This incredible institution works tirelessly to empower children with disabilities, ensuring they have access to inclusive education and the tools needed for everyday living. It is a shining example of how inclusion, when prioritized, can unlock the potential of every child, regardless of their challenges.

Thank you to teacher Jenny and others who have been part of these young students their lives.

A special thank you to my sponsor Datec PNG Limited for allowing me to share this moment together with mboppng Miss Bird of Paradise Papua New Guinea.

When I first sat with my grandparents to ask them for their blessings and stories so I could share them with you all - I asked them; “Is this West or East Kerema?”

They gently told me No.

From their time when boundaries were not made to keep records, their languages were the way they knew they were a part of a community.

“These stories are not from West or East Kerema. They are from the people who speak the Toairipi language. We do not know of East and West - we only know the language we share” (translated).

What a perspective!

I will PROUDLY represent my Toaripi speaking people tonight. Join us. Keep me in your thoughts as I complete this journey.

Thank you Datec PNG Limited for believing in me. You are supporting generations of culture, stories and Papua New Guinea. 🇵🇬
