Hi everyone! We’ve put together this infographic to explain to our members and the wider science divisions exactly how lab practicals are decided on for presentation in our club. As you know, UPNG SRIS is a student-driven science club dedicated to facilitating student-led presentations of your various practical projects. Our goal is to create a space where we can teach each other, share our innovations, and gain valuable experience presenting to a broader audience beyond the classroom.

Highlights from MSCSSA 2026 Orientation 🎉📚

We are proud to share that the MSCSSA 2026 Orientation was successfully hosted today 🙌

A sincere thank you to all our distinguished speakers 🎤 for taking the time to guide, inspire, and connect with our students. Your words truly set the tone for what we hope will be a meaningful and productive academic year 💡

To our Year 2 students — welcome once again 🤝🎓
You are the reason for this event, and we look forward to seeing you grow, contribute, and thrive within the MSCS family 🌱

Despite starting 9 minutes late ⏰, we managed to finish 15 minutes early ✅ — a great outcome that gave us time to relax, take photos 📸, and interact freely with one another. It was great seeing both new and continuing students connecting beyond the formal program 🤗

As we move forward, we aim to live up to our 2026 theme:
“Analyse, Innovate & Solve” 🧠⚙️✨

Here’s to a successful and impactful year ahead 🚀

Highlights from the Youth Empowerment & Blockchain Literacy 2026 Workshop

Some of our Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science Students’ Society Association (MSCSSA) students attended the Youth Empowerment & Blockchain Literacy 2026 workshop held on 5–6 March 2026 at the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG), Waigani Campus, hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The two-day workshop introduced participants to blockchain technology, virtual assets, and online financial safety. Students also learned how to identify and avoid common online scams, improve crypto wallet security, and understand Papua New Guinea’s regulatory framework for digital assets.

Empower yourself. Protect others. Promote financial safety.
