Good morning all,This is a brief update for public awareness, especially for those kind‑hearted individuals who contributed to our Fire Emergency Appeal in Mendi.

There have been many questions, assumptions, and rumours regarding what happened to the fire‑affected families and the hard‑earned money that you all contributed.

Let me clarify:
All funds are still safely held in the Disaster Appeal Account.
No money has been distributed.Reasons:
1.We are still waiting for the commitment made by Governor Powi through SHPG of 1million, Kina as well as the additional K4 million allocated in the SHPG budget. These funds have not yet been released to us since the fire incident.
2.We are also waiting for the commitment from the PNG National Disaster Office, through our Minister, Hon. Dr. Billy Joseph.

Despite the delays, we continue to remain patient. Sadly, along the way, we have also lost some of those affected, including the late owner of Poiyo Trading Limited.

We will provide further updates as soon as there is progress.Thank you all for your continued patience, support, and prayers.
