Enga Students keep culture alive, displayed its distinctive and fascinating culture

On the eve of PNG's Golden Jubilee Celebration, as the country comes together to commemorate the 50 years of nationhood, Enga students from Divine Word University join the country together in celebrating the special national occasion.

It's not just a mere event, a great achievement for Papua New Guinea that unites thousands of tribes who speak hundreds of languages (not the dialects), a turing point, and a time of maturity.

All of the pictures (images) of today's event will be uploaded in our next post.

Happy PNG Day to everyone, safe celebrations🇵🇬

Tonight we had the privilege of meeting with The Enga Provincial Finance Manager, Mr. Nathan Lapakio and the Deputy General Manager - HR (Ramu NiCo MCC Ltd) Mr. Jeffers Heptol, who reminded us of our responsibility not only to study hard but also to be agents of positive change in our beloved province and country. 💯

At a time when Enga is facing challenges such as tribal fights and division, we are called to rise above and become the generation that brings peace, unity, and progress. 🇵🇬

Together, let’s choose education over violence, unity over division, and peace over conflict. The future of Enga is in our hands. ✊

On behalf of the Enga Students Association at Divine Word University, we sincerely thank our dear brother Geno Muspak Lyein, a young man who generously presented K1,500 as his support towards our fundraising.

This contribution will go directly towards our End-of-Year Function and the 50th Independence Anniversary Celebration in September.

During the presentation, he said that "Today, Enga is calling. Every district is experiencing tribal fights. You, the elites, are the agents of change. You will bring change to your family, your clan, your community, your district, and Enga Province as a whole. So start setting your priorities right today📌

Your words, Brother Geno, are not only encouraging but a challenge for us to rise up and be the change our people need.

Thank you for your generosity and support towards the DWU Enga Students Association. May God continue to bless you ❤️💯🙏

DWU Enga Students visit Ramu Nico Mine site

Over the weekend, Enga students from Divine Word University have visited the Ramu Nico Project sites, the largest nickel and cobalt mining located in the Usino- Bundi District of Madang Province

This was a significant exposure to practical settings and mine environments beyond their classroom learning experiences.

This field trip would greatly enhance the students' general knowledge in areas such as understanding the social and environmental impacts of mining and developing insights into research, safety, and career development programs.

This is one of the ESA programs led by association Patron Jeffers Teargun Heptol and President Johnny Kome with its executive members.

ESA President Jonny Kome, thank Mr. Jeffers Teargun Heptol, Ms. Melissa Anzu (DWU Partnership Director) and everyone who traveled to make the trip a successful.
