Pioneer Bible Translators yearns to see every man, woman, and child with access to God’s Word in their heart language. Thousands of people are still without access to His Word in the areas of Papua New Guinea where we are working. By human standards, people groups in this region are insignificant. They are remote, deep in the treacherous jungle and small in number. Their lives are steeped in animi

stic traditions where the devil has been allowed to rule with little challenge for hundreds of years. Pushing through these physical and spiritual barriers is a formidable task. They will be among the last to be reached. Pioneer Bible Translators in PNG believes that regardless of population size and ease of accessibility, God has promised to see people from every tribe and tongue bow to Him. He will see His kingdom advance into the small groups found hidden in these thick jungles. Though the world has ignored them, He remembers. Just as He has His eye on the sparrow, so it is on these, The Least and the Last.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

The Akukem language team is in town working from our national co-worker housing conference room with their advisor. The power has been out all day however work must continue. We are thankful for a Bluetti home power station that allows the team to run a projector, three laptops, and two fans.

It is time to celebrate, friends! The consultant checks of Hebrews and James are complete! These two powerfully important books can now be made available to Somau Garia speakers! Our prayer is that the content of these books will bring deep transformation in the Somau Garia community. Thank God with us for this victory and pray with us that it will do its work in their hearts. It certainly has in mine!

It's a new day dawning as the sun rises over the Pacific Ocean bringing a morning glow at 6am.

Today is Day 2 of our Annual General Meeting. We are meeting today with the Lord as he leads us in discussion. Pray that the King's court will be filled with both humility and love. May the God of goodness shine upon us as the morning glow brings radiance into our lives.

Maintenance...good for the soul and for the machine. This was routine 500 hour generator service maintenance at our office. Backup power is critical so we can continue to host translation work sessions even when utility power is offline.

Support services are in high need from administration to dirty jobs. Where is God calling you to serve in 2025?

Intl Literacy Day was 8 September. We learned that day, one of the office staff was helping six ladies learn to read in their heart language (Somau Garia). After church, they sat down to learn to read from simple shellbooks that our team helped develop. Adult literacy is one need we hear over and over again from the communities where we serve.

Lord, bless the reading groups that are being established throughout the Somau Garia speaking area. These groups are using materials that draw from translated scripture portions. We ask you to bring about deep change in the hearts and minds of the communities as they learn to read your Word fluently.

When our maintenance team isn't busy cutting grass and pruning bushes, they are handy in other areas too. Ruben is sanding a new stand alone kitchen sink while Raphael is staining a new bed frame.
