And that’s a wrap for our Naru Kemi Project in Lama Village! 🇵🇬💙🌴
What started as an idea became a reality through many helping hands, strong community spirit and people simply coming together to get the job done.
A big tenkyu tru to the people of Lama Village, our team WIHA PNG , , our supporters and every wantok who gave their time, strength, knowledge and support along the way. 🙏🏽

This project was never just about completing the work — it was about people, community, connection and working together towards something meaningful.

Seeing everyone come together reminds us why community projects like this matter so much. Every contribution, big or small, helped make Naru Kemi possible.

We leave Lama Village with grateful hearts, wonderful memories and the satisfaction of seeing another community project completed. 💧

During this El Niño period, all we can do is adapt, keep going, and continue looking for practical solutions that make everyday life a little more bearable.

For many of our communities, access to reliable water becomes even more important during these dry and challenging conditions. 💧

Through the Naru Kemi Community Water Project, we are doing what we can — working alongside our communities to find practical and sustainable ways to improve access to water.

We may not be able to control the weather, but we can control how we respond.
Adapt. Persevere. Find solutions. Keep moving forward. 💧🌱

Kids were intrigued and excited to watch the work being carried out on an old, run-down well. 💧

Seeing their curiosity and excitement as the work progresses is a beautiful reminder of what this project means to the community — restoring not just a water source, but hope for a better future. 💙🌴

Six years ago Samson Kelu set foot on Lama village, where the community expressed a critical need for access to clean and safe water.

Today we are proud to return and turn that need into reality by delivering this much -needed service to the people of Lama village.
