We are committed to bring the opinions and positions of young people into the negotiations so that they are heard and taken into consideration. The Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) is bringing youth voices to COP17 in Yerevan, Armenia, from October 17–31, 2026 🇦🇲
This is your chance to be part of the global conversation on biodiversity! 🌱🌍

If you're 18–35 and committed to protecting biodiversity, advocating for youth participation, and creating transformative change, we encourage you to apply.

Our community has carried out 500+ actions in recent years — and we will continue to advocate, act, learn and unlearn, inspire and care. Join us to nurturing Collective Transformations.

If you are someone who is interested in learning about Conflict Sensitive Approaches to Conservation or already have the knowledge and expertise we want you to join us!

The GYBN Transformative Futures Fellowship is open — and we're looking for you.

What if this was the year you went deeper — into biodiversity, into your own leadership, and into a global community of young people who are actively creating pathways to live in harmony within nature?

This is an opportunity for young people between 18–35 to deepen their engagement across four interrelated tracks, contributing to GYBN's ongoing work while gaining hands-on experience, mentorship, and reflective space to grow. This fellowship meets you where you are — whether you're just starting out or already active in this space, there is room to learn, contribute, and go further.

Four tracks. Four ways to contribute and grow:

🟣 Capacity Building — strengthen knowledge and learning across the network

🤝Community Building — foster connection, care, and collective action

🎺 Communication & Storytelling — amplify youth voices and bring biodiversity stories to life

🔵 Policy Support — get behind the scenes of biodiversity governance, supporting coordination, documentation, and engagement across GYBN's policy work.

🌎✨Meet the GYBN Policy Team for COP17

As the world prepares for the next Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity in Armenia,   brings together a diverse policy team representing different regions, perspectives, and thematic expertise from across the globe.

This team will support youth participation and advocacy within the CBD process, working to ensure that youth priorities, community perspectives, and lived realities are reflected in this biodiversity decision-making process.

Rooted in collaboration and a collective approach, the team will contribute to advancing ambitious biodiversity action while strengthening the role of youth as partners in implementing the Global Biodiversity Framework. This group will also help connect our local experiences with global policy discussions, with a youth-responsive and human rights-based lens in the lead-up to  .

Together, we continue building transformative and inclusive implementation for a future living in harmony with nature. 🌿
