Another reading taken in Whakatāne on Sunday.

The levels spiked so high they went off the scale on the meter.

This is exactly why we have started documenting and sharing these readings publicly.

Most people have no idea what RF/EMF levels around them actually look like day to day, or how dramatically they can spike depending on location and nearby infrastructure.

The more readings we take across the Bay of Plenty, the clearer it becomes that this exposure is everywhere, and increasing.

We are continuing to ask:

• Are current safety standards truly adequate?
• Why are standards still based on decades-old guidelines?
• What are the long-term effects of constant exposure?
• Why is there so little independent monitoring and public discussion?

These are reasonable questions.

We believe New Zealanders deserve transparency, updated research, and informed consent as this technology continues rolling out across the country.

Despite reports of health issues from cell tower placement, local communities are often left without a choice.

Section 704 of the Telecommunications Act restricts how health concerns can be used in cell tower siting decisions.

Video taken Thursday 28th May at 8:25am on King Street, Kopeopeo, looking towards the 5G tower across the vacant lot near Stewart Street.

A local resident had commented that his mother, who lives in the area, had felt “just terrible” on Sunday, along with a visitor staying with her. We also received reports of two elderly people suffering strokes during the same week, one sadly not recovering.

Coincidence or not?

We are not claiming direct causation. But we are asking important questions that deserve investigation, especially as RF/EMF levels continue increasing in our communities.

The readings shown in this video are well above 1mG, with frequent spikes being detected.

More and more people are beginning to ask whether constant exposure to this technology could be affecting human health, especially for vulnerable people and the elderly.

This is exactly why independent research, updated safety standards, and transparent public discussion matter.

We will continue documenting readings around the Bay of Plenty and sharing what we find.

This video was taken this morning on the way into Kawerau.

The Smart Sensor meter had already locked at a high reading before the video started, while the Trifield meter was still actively measuring.

What this shows is how quickly levels can spike in certain areas, particularly near infrastructure like substations.

Most people go about their day without ever seeing this.

No signage.
No awareness.
No real understanding of what levels we are being exposed to.

We’re continuing to document and share real-world readings from around our region so people can see for themselves what’s happening in their environment.

We’ve received another testimony from someone in our local region who has asked to remain anonymous.

We are sharing this to give space to people’s lived experiences as more wireless infrastructure is rolled out in our communities.

“19th march 2026
I been living in Murupara for 14yrs and within the last year there was a 5g cell tower erected less than than 200 meters from my home I am of recent months now experiencing ..

In only a week ago another tower had been erected and is even closer now being maybe 120 meters from my home

• Slight headaches
• sniffly runny nose daily, I have never had allergies thru out life
• Tired and fatigued
• Joints ache
• Skin feels tingly on some days, some days not..

These symptom are out of character and I can’t fit them to any reason for any diagnoses medical”

We are noticing that more people are sharing similar timelines and symptoms following the installation of new towers or increased wireless exposure.

These experiences deserve to be heard and looked into.

5G, EMF & Headaches – What Does the Research Say?

Headaches and migraines are some of the most commonly reported symptoms people associate with RF/EMF exposure from phones, towers and wireless devices.

Several studies and reviews have identified headaches as a frequently reported symptom in populations exposed to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields.

At the same time, other reviews say evidence is mixed and more long-term research is needed.

So here’s the honest position:

• People are reporting headaches.
• Some research shows associations.
• The science is not fully settled.
• Long-term chronic exposure hasn’t been studied deeply enough.

When thousands of people report similar symptoms, it deserves investigation - not dismissal.

We believe updated, independent research is needed, especially as exposure increases.
