🐾 Happy Tail: Meet Tui 🐾
Back in 2019, Tui arrived at the pound, and DAWGS was asked to help cover the cost of her desexing surgery. It was a request we were more than happy to support.
After her surgery, Buller District Council Dog Control felt this lovely girl deserved somewhere warm and comfortable to recover, rather than returning to the pound during the cold winter weather. One of our amazing DAWGS volunteers offered to foster her while she healed.
And… well… you can probably guess what happened next. ❤️
What was meant to be a temporary foster placement turned into the very best kind of “foster fail.” Tui stole a heart, found her forever home, and never looked back.
Today, she’s living the life every dog deserves—safe, loved, and surrounded by people who adore her.
Tui’s story is a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together. With the support of DAWGS and Buller District Council Dog Control, one little dog got the second chance she deserved… and a lifetime of love in return. 🐶🏡💕
Every happy tail starts with someone willing to help.
