Tomarata Playcentre Tomarata Playcentre is a parent led early childhood centre from birth to 6 years. We look forward to meeting you.

At Tomarata Playcentre we provide a positive early childhood education experience where children are encouraged to learn through play. A wide range of activities are available to engage our tamariki in our well resourced purpose built centre with an extensive outdoor area including a large covered sandpit to allow for all weather play. The centre is run as a cooperative where families are actively

involved in the learning experiences of our children. We foster a great sense of community and have close links with neighbouring Tomarata School. We always welcome new members so if you have a young family please feel free to visit us for 3 free visits to check us out.

We are out of centre again today.

📍Mangawhai Estuary (back up plan Mangawhai Museum, weather depending)

⏰ 10am onwards

🌻 Bring beach essentials and maybe bikes/scooter + shoes incase we end up walking or biking

We are now at the MAZ and will head to the museum later on.

Today you’ll find us at Mangawhai Estuary for Nature Week 🌿 We are also celebrating Waitā - the matariki star connected to salt water and all the sea creatures and food that come from the sea.

We’ll be at the northern end of the estuary between the jetty and playground from 10am onwards.

Bring your lunch, beach toys (fishing gear), towel and a change of clothes.

We’re closed today, have a great weekend and we’ll see you on Tuesday!

Today we kicked off Messy Play Week with bubbling colour! 🎨 Tamariki poured coloured water into a special bubbling mix. They watched as it over flowed and took turns having a go. Inside they used playdough and natural resources to make some special creations.

Join us on Thursday and Friday for more messy fun! Our hours are 9:30am-1pm.

🌿 Nature Week 🌿

Tomorrow you’ll find us at the Mangawhai Estaury from 9:30am onwards. We’ll be near the corner of Alamar Crescent and North Ave.

On Thursday we will be at Tomarata Lake, 9:30am onwards.

On Friday we will be at Matakana Playcentre for Somerset Bear’s Picnic. 10am - 12pm.
