Bee-hold the Life Flight Bee in the City team!

We're the small but mighty team behind Bee in the City. What started as a Life Flight fundraising project and a way to give back to Wellington has become something "un-bee-lievable".

We've been blown away by the response from the community. A huge thank you to our sponsors, supporters, artists, schools, volunteers, and everyone who has helped bring the trail to life. We simply couldn't have done it without you!

🚁✈️💛 Did you know Life Flight is called on to help someone in need on average every six hours?

Every week, dozens of people across Aotearoa rely on our Air Ambulance and Westpac Chopper crews for urgent, lifesaving care when every minute counts.

That's why we're proud to present Bee in the City - it's our way of thanking the community that have supported us here at Life Flight for over 50 years, all while raising vital, life-saving funds.

At the end of the trail, the giant bees will be auctioned to help keep the Life Flight Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Air Ambulance services flying, delivering critical care when it's needed most.

🐝 Looking for a fun and free school holiday activity?

Bee curious and explore Bee in the City Wellington, Life Flight's giant public art sculpture trail, created in Partnership with Wild in Art and presented by Mills-Albert Limited.

From now until 8 November, families can discover 30 giant artist-transformed bee sculptures and 20 community bees across the Wellington C*D. Download the free map app to collect bees, unlock sweet rewards, and turn a walk around the city into a buzzing adventure.

Prefer paper? Pick up a printed trail map from The Enormous Crocodile Bike and Shake Shop off Herd St and start exploring at your own pace.

Best of all, every bee discovered helps support a bigger cause. At the end of the trail, the giant sculptures will be auctioned to raise vital funds for Life Flight, helping keep lifesaving air services flying when they're needed most.

We're buzzing to see so many people out enjoying the Bee in the City trail! 🐝

Thank you to everyone who let us know that the signs on two of the Cuba Street bees are currently missing. The Bee collect codes for these bees have been added to the free map app, although you may need to refresh your app to view them.

If you're looking for artist information for these two bees, you'll find it on the www.beeinthecity.org.nz website on the Art trail page.

We'd also be grateful if you could continue reporting any damaged or missing signs through the app or via our Bee in the City email address.

As a small team from Life Flight Trust delivering our very first Bee in the City trail, we really appreciate your support and patience while we organise replacement signs.
