🎄 Carterton, You Got LIT! 🎄
The judges were out and about last night and WOW we honestly couldn’t believe what we saw! ✨
🌟 47 registered properties
🌟 Plus at least 30 incredible displays around town that weren’t even registered!
Carterton, that was a shining effort and truly next level 🙌
Not going to lie… we are a little tired this morning 😴 with deliberations going well past midnight. Judging was tough and the standard was incredibly high across the board.
There can only be ONE $1,000 winner…
🥇 1st Prize goes to 512 East Taratahi Road!
The judges felt this property delivered outstanding creativity, an incredible light display, strong interaction, and an overall experience that truly stood out. A well deserved win! 🎉
The judges also had a very close second place and wanted to acknowledge the amazing neighbour involvement we saw but in the end, there could only be one overall winner.
🌟 Special Judges’ Recognition 🌟
Two properties truly stood out for creativity, especially for the way they catered to little ones and daytime experiences. And because we make the rules 😉 each will receive a $100 New World Voucher.
So Congratulations to….
👏 200 Belvedere Road
👏 23 Ashmore Park Road
🎄 Christmas Spirit Award 🎄
We also couldn’t go past the incredible effort by Ian at Ashmore Park. Not only decorating your own home, but helping decorate others around the village what a wonderful thing to do. We absolutely loved your display! 💛 there is a $100 New Word Voucher coming your way 🙌
🎁 Little Lights, Big Cheer Draw 🎁
All registered properties went into the draw, and the lucky winner is…
✨ 184 High Street South you have won a $100 New World voucher! 🙌
We also want to give a huge shout out to the homeowners who were outside chatting with visitors, welcoming families, and handing out treats for the kids. Seeing people stop, talk, laugh, and connect, neighbours meeting neighbours, kids beaming with excitement was something really special. This wasn’t just about lights, it was about true community coming together 💛
Carterton, you showed what the spirit of Christmas is all about and you absolutely brought your A game. Judging was incredibly tough and you should all be so proud. 💛
Special thanks to the Fenix Foundation for supporting this wonderful event and donating the prizes without your support it wouldn’t have been possible! And to the Carterton Yes We Can team thanks for putting in the time and dedication to organising this event!
And don’t worry… we have decided to make this an annual event!
So watch this space for next year’s competition 🙌
