East Health Trust and the University of Otago are collecting healthy South Asian-inspired recipes to help develop practical, community-led health resources for South Asian communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.

They are looking for recipes that are 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝘁, 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝘁, and ideally include creative use of 𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀.

Growing up in New Zealand, it’s natural for our children to become more comfortable with English, but over time, this can create a gap between them and their 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆.

After a discussion with the 𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐙 𝐌𝐂 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦, we have decided to officially begin a 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐥 in collaboration with the 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚 – 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧.
