Turnbull Endowment Trust

Turnbull Endowment Trust Supporting the Alexander Turnbull Library for over 85 years. Ensuring the stories and documentary heritage is available to all. We would love to hear from you!

Alexander Turnbull's generous bequest of 55,000 heritage documents to the Crown formed the nucleus of the Alexander Turnbull Library, which opened to the public in 1920. Generations of everyday New Zealanders have since added to the collections, entrusted to be held in perpetuity. The Turnbull Endowment Trust supports the Library; funded through bequests and donations from everyday New Zealanders,

our investments provide grants to enable Turnbull-related initiatives such as research, training, publications and exhibitions. With your help we can expand these initiatives so more New Zealanders can enjoy the collections and be part of this national legacy. Get in touch to learn more about how you can contribute.
