Central Hawke’s Bay Pregnancy & Parenting, Ruahine Whakawhanau Tamariki We believe that parenting is everything! We support parents through the early years.

We provide Parent Education such as Ante-Natal Classes, Conscious Parenting Course, Infant and toddler First Aid. We also provide Breastfeeding and infant nutrition support with our very own qualified Lactation Consultant, Swimming at the AW Parsons Indoor Heated Pool monthly, Breastfeeding chair @ Food for Thought.

We currently have a number of whānau in our community who are in need of these essential items.

If you have a cot or a car seat that your family has outgrown, please consider donating it so it can be passed on to another whānau who would greatly benefit from it.

Every donation helps ensure tamariki have a safe place to sleep and travel.

💜 National Volunteer Week 💜

This week, we celebrate and thank the incredible volunteers who help make our work possible.

At CHB Pregnancy & Parenting – Ruahine Whakawhanau Tamariki Trust, we are incredibly grateful for our amazing volunteers and trustees who generously give their time, skills, and support to help local whānau thrive.

Whether it's helping at events, supporting our programmes, lending a hand behind the scenes, or sharing professional skills, every contribution makes a real difference to families across Central Hawke's Bay.

One of the highlights on our volunteer calendar is helping out at the beautiful Taniwha Daffodils in September. 🌼 Their support helps us continue providing vital services and programmes for local parents, babies, and whānau, and it's always a fantastic community event to be involved in.

📢 An Important Update for Our CHB Families

As many of you may know, due to recent legislative changes affecting incorporated societies, along with the liquidation of Parents Centre Aotearoa, Central Hawke’s Bay Parents Centre is transitioning.

We want to reassure our community that for local families, it is very much business as usual.

All the services, classes, support, and events you know and love will continue under the Central Hawke’s Bay Pregnancy and Parenting – Ruahine Whakawhanau Tamariki Trust, including:

✔ Coffee Groups
✔ Antenatal Classes
✔ Lactation Support
✔ First Aid Courses
✔ Guest Speakers and Parenting Workshops

Before these changes took effect, all members were emailed and advised that their memberships would automatically transfer to the Trust unless they contacted us to opt out. If you are a current member, there is nothing you need to do.

Hannah Tully will continue in her role as Hub Coordinator, and our trustees are excited to continue growing and supporting services for local whānau.

Thank you for your ongoing support. While the name may be changing, our commitment to supporting local parents, caregivers, pēpi, tamariki and whānau remains exactly the same. 💕

Just a quick note that this is a genuine email from Hivepass and not a scam. This app is replacing our cardboard membership cards and will make accessing your membership benefits much easier.
