We collect and distribute food, toys, and equipment to care to our furry friends and their families during tough financial times.

Our set up checklist:
My dream is to set this up as recognised charity and to connect with organisations to help support us humans and our fur whanau | family.

This post is a transparency post so you where we are in this process:

Set up bank account. This will be a separate business account and I will post monthly updates on the status
Set up IRD status for charities. This will allow us to offer receipts at the end of the financial year so you can claim your donation back.

Why do we use a form instead of take applications on our posts or through comments. This is to ensure that your name and details can not be traced publicly. Which means the service is confidential. This ensures your safety.

We will not share the information you give us with any other organisation with out your consent. You can change this consent at any time.

When we apply to funders we will only use numbers for each city aka "aggregated data". For example: 14 dogs and 10 unique people in Wainuiomata. No names or any data that can identify you will be used.

Welcome to the Wellington Regional Dog Food Bank (WRDFB) 🐶✨💖.

The Wellington Regional Dog Food Bank was established in January 2025 to continue the vital work of the original Dog Food Bank. This is not my original concept but so grateful to the originator of this concept.

We accept donations of
- food,
- toys and equipment such as dog beds, bedding, kennels, leashes
- money which purchases food to provide much-needed support to dogs and their owners who are facing challenging times.

Together, we can make a difference for our furry friends and the people/families | whanau who love them.
