These wonderful representatives of St Vincent de Paul (Vinnies) have plenty to smile about…

On this particular morning, PAK’nSAVE Kapiti wheeled out 500 grocery items, all of which will be distributed to local individuals and families needing some extra assistance with their weekly food supplies.

The dedicated Vinnies team - ALL VOLUNTEERS - personally deliver numerous weekly food parcels and are witnessing the rise in demand.

They are humbled and beyond grateful for the generous efforts and contributions of TOP UP KAPITI’s Mal Bird and local businesses, such as PAK'nSAVE Kapiti.
It is support such as this that continues to give them the ability to provide this service to the Kapiti community.

Of the Year!

Wayne Pidduck of Starfish Kapiti has a smile as genuine as his ongoing, generous, donations of seafood and Iain Strathern from Kaibosh has a smile to match!

What these guys also have in common is being part of a dedicated network of businesses and organisations supporting our Kapiti community. Thanks to them, those struggling to afford their weekly grocery needs, will get a little extra to cook, eat and enjoy.

Thank you, think you are amazing

I initially set out to write a sprawling piece about Wayne Pidduck of StarFish on Te Roto Drive Paraparaumu, to dive deep into his large family and the fascinating history of his father, the Lion Tamer. But the truth is, this story isn't just about Wayne's past; it's about the present. Alongside his wife,Thi Ly Xuan and their child Zealand, Wayne is carrying forward a legacy started by his mother.

Together, they are keeping that tradition of care alive in the most meaningful way possible: by helping others and ensuring that people in our community are fed.

We all know we need fuel to be at our best. By donating food to others, you are telling the community, "we see you, we appreciate you." You give them hope, dignity, and a full puku to face the day.

So, on behalf of the Kapiti Kindness Trust Ambassadors, thank you, Wayne, for continuing the legacy your mother started all those years ago.

Top Up Kapiti is thrilled with the newspaper spread on p. 8 & 9, including the Starfish Kapiti Family Pass offer.

I am assured by Project Manager, Mal Bird, that this whole experience of having the toilet facility at Mazengarb Park built for free, has been humbling and all parties involved have enjoyed our “post celebrations” 😊

Starfish Kapiti has a big heart that keeps sharing the love 🥰
All for the benefit of our Kapiti community, they continue to support those in need.
Top Up Kapiti is proud to announce that with their generosity, 600 packs of fish fingers have been donated to Kaibosh and Vinnies (St Vincent de Paul, Kapiti) - two incredible, local organisations who work tirelessly, every day, to distribute food to those who are struggling to make ends meet.

A fun day out on our local Mini Golf Course with your family can provide a meal for another local family to enjoy and put a smile on their faces.
