No planned donation in Waihi soon but if you would like to help out, follow the link in the comments and book at a donation centre near you.

We need your help!

We need to collect 25,000 plasma donations by 30 November!

Nearly 20,000 New Zealanders rely on plasma donations each year and that number is growing. For many, these medicines are a vital part of life.

Winter illness has reduced donation numbers, and we need more people to step up and donate if they're able.

If you can't donate right now, you can still make a difference by sharing this message and helping spread the word. ❤️

The Waihī Eclectic Market is on the 19th this month.
Did you know that you can get your knives, scissors and garden tools sharpened at the market? Kevin from Kitchencare will be there, waiting for all your dull implements.

Are you a stallholder? Pop a note in the comments to let people know what you are offering.

Our Lions are out an about this weekend collecting for Cancer Society New Zealand's Daffodil Day. Daffodil Day is the Cancer Society's main annual fundraiser and the funds raised support many New Zealanders diagnosed with cancer each year. Any amount is greatly appreciated 🦁💛

UPDATE:
Thanks for all the interest. All slots are filled but this will not be your only opportunity. We will most likely be getting the bus back for the Lions Garden Ramble later in the year. The bus can be booked for events.
This is from the screening bus website:
"Our screening bus is hosted in communities by local Lions Clubs who work hard to source local volunteer screeners and create great screening events. If you would like the bus in your community, contact your local Lions, or even BETTER, join them!"
https://www.lionscancertrust.nz/

The Lions Skin Cancer Screening bus will be at Waihī Beach on Saturday 29th, 1pm to 3pm outside Waihī Beach United Church on Wilson Road. Call Liz on 021 0231 7833 for more information about how to get a free full body screening for skin cancer. Early detection saves lives.

There are a couple of slots left at Waihī too, from 10am to 12 noon outside Fresh Choice.

A lovely article in The Valley Profile about the Daffodil Brunch. I don't have final figures on the amount raised but I can tell you that one bunch of daffodils was auctioned off for $50! Thank you to everyone who came, bought raffle tickets and daffodils. Also thanks to the very dedicated team that made it happen and the RSA for a lovely brunch.
