Home Grown Waiheke Trust is looking for new Trustees! Could that be you πŸ‘€

🍏 Our volunteer Trustees help to govern, support the initiatives we umbrella, and contribute to running HGWT.

Thanks to Hadas for attending to our joint Crop Swap & HGWT stall at the 2026 Kai for Community Festival, which was hosted at Piritahi Marae. Stoked to have such a great community turnout and gorgeous weather to boot 🌞

Not only did we have plenty of crops to swap throughout the day, we also shared the joys of worm farming thanks to Penny's display πŸͺ±

β˜‘οΈ Next GROW stall will be at the special Sunday Ostend Market (no Sat due to ANZAC Day) - 26th April.

βœ… Next Waiheke Crop Swap will be Sunday 17th May on Causeway Rd. DM your email to be put on the mailing list for the exact address πŸ’Œ or join the FB group.

✨ Ostend Garden is all dressed up for this evening's celebration πŸ˜‰

Thanks to a great year at our weekly GROW stall, Home Grown Waiheke Trust has invested back into Ostend Garden by installing a third The CarbonCycle Co Ltd box!

This will enable the community garden to compost more of our community's food scraps and nourish local soils, keeping our garden beds full of nutrients 🀝 great for the harvests!

Super appreciative of Tim and Richard, who started their workday very early this morning to get this in, and of course to Penny who was onsite at the garden to assist πŸ’š

πŸ™Œ Every Friday we've got a hands-on composting session at Ostend! Bring your fresh or frozen food scraps to process, and learn how to make beautiful compost as you help our garden to flourish πŸ₯°
