Deer have been a hot topic lately!

Over the years they have certainly spread and now inhabit areas they previously didn't.
Numbers have increased in some areas but in other areas where landowners have decided enough is enough, the deer population has decreased. Some areas where neighboring properties have collaborated, numbers have been significantly reduced.
Often deer control isn't as expensive as landowners might think and the benefit of increased feed and biodiversity outweighs the cost.

Just one of the cool examples of the native mammals we encounter! Fruit bat spotted through the thermal on a recent project in the tropics- always exciting to see some of the animals we are working for in a restoration project!
