💙 THANK YOU FROM WISHCON TIMARU 2026! 💙

What an incredible weekend!

From all of us at WishCon Timaru, we want to say a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to every single person who helped make WishCon 2026 another successful event.

Despite the weather doing its best to make things difficult for us this year, an amazing 500 people came through the doors to celebrate gaming, trading cards, cosplay, collectibles, creativity and everything pop culture — and that number doesn’t even include our wonderful vendors and volunteers!

Most importantly, together we raised an incredible $7,000 for Family Works Youth Counselling Services. ❤️

That is something our entire community should be incredibly proud of. Every ticket purchased, every activity supported and every person who contributed helped us reach that total and support an important service for young people in our community.

A massive thank you to all of our vendors who brought so much variety, creativity and energy to WishCon. Thank you for taking a chance on our event and helping make the convention what it is.

To our incredible volunteers — we simply could not run WishCon without you. Thank you for giving your time, energy and enthusiasm throughout the weekend. Your contribution behind the scenes and out on the floor was invaluable.

And to everyone who attended WishCon — thank you for showing up, supporting the event, supporting our vendors and activities, and creating such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Seeing people laughing, playing games, dressing up, discovering new hobbies and simply enjoying themselves is exactly why we do this.

We would also like to give a very special thank you to Venture Timaru for supporting WishCon through the Major Events Fund. That support played an important role in helping us bring WishCon 2026 to life.

We are also extremely grateful to our other major sponsors, Hobby Lords Timaru and Oceania Dairy, for getting behind WishCon and helping us make this year's event possible.

WishCon is a community event, and its success belongs to the community that supports it.

500 attendees. $7,000 raised for Family Works Youth Counselling Services. One incredible weekend.

Thank you, Timaru and South Canterbury, for supporting WishCon 2026. 💙

We hope you all had as much fun as we did — and we can't wait to see what comes next for WishCon! 🎲🎮🃏🎨🦸
