SLANZ objectives are to foster, facilitate and promote within New Zealand, the development of cultural values and traditions of motherland Sri Lanka.

On 13th June 2004, a group of Sri Lankans in Wellington met to form the Sri Lanka Association of New Zealand (SLANZ) Inc. The creation of this voluntary society was aimed at primarily to serve and promote the cultural, aesthetic and artistic aspirations of our vibrant community in Wellington. 🌿 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲 🌿

East Health Trust and the University of Otago are collecting healthy South Asian-inspired recipes to help develop practical, community-led health resources for South Asian communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.

They are looking for recipes that are 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝘁, 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝘁, and ideally include creative use of 𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀.

𝗦𝗿𝗶 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲𝘀 are warmly welcomed as part of this initiative. 🇱🇰

Those who submit a recipe will go into the draw to win 𝟭 𝗼𝗳 𝟯 𝘅 $𝟱𝟬 𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀.
