We are excited to share with you some more good news with the progress of the matron's house on site at Kabuthu Community Day Secondary school. Having a matron (and a sick bay) on site will improve the standard of accomodation at the school enormously for the girls. We are so excited to see this special girls' hostel project progress, and we can't wait to show you the finished product!

While schools all across the globe close due to coronavirus lockdowns, we are excited to share with you some good news. The progress being made to the girls' hostel at Kabuthu Community Day Secondary School is fantastic, with new facilities (including a matron's house and sickbay) coming along well. At the end of last year, we were incredibly grateful to receive an amazing donation from the St. Cuthbert's College year 7 and 8 team. The amazing students at St Cuthbert's organised and ran a "Spellathon", with each pupil receiving sponsorship for learning new spelling words. The result was phenomenal - a whopping $15,073.24 was raised by those who took part in the fundraiser! This amazing donation is being put towards the completion of our special girls' hostel project in rural Malawi, to enable more girls to receive an education.

Woohoo! Another update from our awesome project at Kabuthu Secondary School, where we are completing construction to a girls' hostel. With the addition of two extra rooms (to sleep another 20 girls) - as well as the recent kitchen attachment seen here - this building just keeps getting better!

Thanks to all who have contributed so much to our girls' hostel project. More updates to come!

What do you think of, when you hear the words “girls education”? When EGG started out, we thought we’d be building classrooms and libraries, and donating books. Turns out, in some areas, the biggest barriers to quality education for girls are things like good sanitation, adequate toilet facilities, and clean water. Our mission - to improve the standard of girls education globally - starts with addressing these basic needs. When girls have access to adequate facilities (such as these drains, gutters, and soakaways, which are being installed at our girls hostel), they become free to focus on their studies and education. @ Malawi
