Let's look after our own kiwi kids suffering through poverty, illness, hardship, exclusion, stress and trauma. Northland unfortunately has some of the worst youth well-being statistics overall in NZ, and in the developed world.

But what does Dignity have to do with it?

Dignity means the state or quality of being worthy of honor, respect, or inherent value as a person.
When we feel unseen and unvalued, dignity is hard to hold onto.
Self respect -dignity can keep us from sinking into dark places.

We believe everyone deserves to be seen and valued. And sometimes a pack of goodies delivers exactly that message. “We see you. We care about you. We value you. “

Right now we’re busy trying to raise funds for our Christmas Project to help whānau share some joy together,so money is tight. When we had some emergency requests this week, we made a call to our Angel friends at Hospice Mid-Northland to check stocks there.
They made up these cute-as individual packages of clothes and toys for us!
Such a heart lifting and unexpected gesture. 🥰

😇Bald Angels is bringing dignity to the lives of all vulnerable tamariki.
💛Hospice is bringing dignity to the lives of all people with terminal diagnoses.
Together we can make a difference.

The Waka wears new clothes….So she went in to the fancy Halvo Spa on Weds and came out after her makeover on Thursday.

🙌🏽SHOUTOUT! Paul at Halvo Signs Spa just decided she was looking shabby and he had the perfect treatment lined up. Amy got busy with design updates and the lads stripped her down, gave her a scrub and draped a pretty new korowai (cloak)over her.

Our local sponsors who support us year after year with services, funds and great partnerships got their label on her new korowai.
