While the race itself took its time this year 😄, this duck stood out from the start with its creativity, personality and style.

A huge congratulations to Bakers Delight Pukekohe for taking out Best Dressed in the 2026 Tuakau Kindergarten Duck Race 👏 ka mau te wehi!

Thank you for helping make the day so colourful, fun, and memorable for our community 💛and thank you for donating the delicious bread on the day! You guys were a big part in raising funds for our tamariki and their Nature Discovery programme.

Congratulations to Team Groom-Barfoot & Thompson Tuakau Real Estate for taking out 3rd place in the 2026 Tuakau Kindergarten Duck Race!

In one of our slowest (and most suspenseful!) races yet, this duck stayed in the mix and secured a well-deserved spot on the podium 👏

Thank you for being part of such a fun-filled day by cooking up our sausages and also supporting our tamariki by entering the corporate duck race, Bluey Barfoot team 💛 Ngā mihi nui. You guys are absolute stars!

A big congratulations to Tuakau Learning Centre West Street and Harrisville for securing 2nd place in the 2026 Tuakau Kindergarten Duck Race!

With the awa running a little slower than usual, it was anyone’s race for a while, but this duck held strong for a podium finish 👏 Although they didn't win "best dressed", they also got a lot of votes in the competition. Ka pai tō mahi!

With the current not quite playing ball this year, it turned into a slower, suspense-filled race... but this duck powered through and claimed the top spot 👏

While we didn’t get a chance to share this one before race day, we still wanted to recognise the support of Aksel Bech - Waikato Mayor, our newly elected Mayor.

His duck joined the lineup on the awa, and we’re so grateful for his support of the 2026 Tuakau Kindergarten Duck Race and our local community 💛
