🛡️Tools to Help Keep Children Safe from Sexual Abuse ✨
HAVEN Mid-South Refuge is offering free two-hour workshops across our region for parents, caregivers, whānau and professionals of ECE and early primary aged children.
Children are growing up in an increasingly complex world, but together we can create safer environments by strengthening the protective space around them.
Facilitated by experienced HAVEN family violence professionals, these practical sessions will help you:
💛 Build protective environments at home and in the community
💬 Have open, age-appropriate conversations
🛑 Support healthy boundaries and recognise safety concerns (including grooming)
🤝 Help tamariki feel confident talking to a trusted adult and respond appropriately when a concern is raised
💻 Gain guidance on keeping children safe in digital environments
