Te Puke Swimming Club Te Puke Swimming Club offers Learn to Swim classes at the Memorial Pool

17/03/2026

Today is our last day for Term 1.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to teach your children to swim this summer season. It has been a pleasure working with your swimmers, and we hope you have enjoyed the lessons and seeing their confidence and skills grow in the water.

As we wrap up for the cooler months, please keep an eye on our page and your emails in October for information about our Term 4 registration days.

We do encourage swimmers who continue swimming over winter to return for a re-assessment before November, prior to the start of Term 4 lessons, to ensure they are placed in the correct level.

For those swimmers who have attended lessons this week, please ask your child what level they were assessed at. If you are unsure or would like confirmation, feel free to email us and we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you again for being part of our swim community. We hope you have a wonderful winter and look forward to seeing you back in Term 4.

Warm regards,
Te Puke Swim Club

Hi everyone,

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back for Term 1 swimming lessons, which will be starting on the 9th for all our Monday swimmers and 10th February for our Tuesday swimmers.

Your child’s class details will be emailed soon.

With the warmer weather finally here, it’s the perfect time to be back in the pool, and we can’t wait to see all of our swimmers again for another great term.

A few reminders before lessons begin:

*Please ensure your child brings goggles to each lesson
*All hair below shoulder length must be tied up.
We require one caregiver to be present during your child’s lesson.

If you have any questions before the term starts, feel free to get in touch.

Looking forward to seeing you all poolside very soon!

Warm regards,
Te Puke Swim Club

Kia ora Swim Parents,

We have two more weeks left of swimming. Assessments started this week and will finish next week.

If your child continues swimming lessons over the summer break, please feel free to return for a new assessment before Term 1 begins in February (dates to be confirmed).

A reminder that we are providing two additional lessons this term, and we will wrap up with a Christmas fun recap lesson on 15–16 December.

At this final session, we will also announce your child’s assessed level.

We will be opening Term 1 bookings soon, and you will be able to jump online and book your free Term 1 lesson.

Please note: Bayswim will also be running lessons from Term 1, and those lessons will have standard fees and are separate from our free club lessons.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Kia ora Parents,

Term 4 swimming is ready to roll, and registrations are now open!

Jump online to register your kids.

Not sure which level your tamariki should be in? No worries – flick us an email [email protected] and we’ll sort it out.

To save our admin team some time, please book your swimmer in their assessed level and only one lesson. For those who missed assessments, or swam with us in Term 1, we’ve got your last assessed level on file.

Heads up:

Lane space is tight, so you can only book one lesson per week for now.
Registrations close TODAY so don’t miss out!

Lessons kick off Monday 3 November, running for 6 weeks. You can choose Monday or Tuesday.
Each lesson is 25 mins, from 3:30pm to 6:30pm.

Safety first: Please have one caregiver present at all times. If your kid wants to splash around after class, we ask you supervise them rather than letting them head off solo.

Pool temp is warm.

* Togs and goggles
* Hair tied up if it’s past shoulder length
* No wetsuits please
* Older kids: avoid rash vests.
*warm towel and clothes

If anything comes up poolside, have a yarn with a committee member, or catch our head coach Michelle or any of our instructors when they’re not teaching.

Be ready to hit the water on time! And if you can’t make a lesson, give us a shout so someone else can grab your spot.

We’re stoked to help your kids build a lifelong skill, get confident in the water, and be ready for a safe, fun summer.

Cheers,
Tepuke Swimming Club Team

👉 Please note:

Assessments are for children aged 5 years and over only.

This session is for new members and existing members who are required to book assessments, including Junior Squads.

All squad swimmers from previous terms do not need to attend an assessment.

Spots are limited, so get in quick to book.

We can’t wait to see everyone poolside soon! 💦
