Ka rawe Mangakino how cool was that!
Mangakino's first Santa Parade since in 2020 and we had 13 to 14 floats. Huge effort went into decorating your floats....wananei 👏👏
Mihi nui to all our Mangakino Emergency Services. Mangakino Volunteer Fire Brigade for leading the parade. Mangakino St John Ambulance for ensuring Santa stayed on track and didn't wonder, and Mangakino Police for ensuring all our floats kept to the speed limit.
Thanks to everyone who supported the market after. The Carnival Rides went down a treat. I known the dunk tank was super busy.
Thanks to Mangakino School for the use of the school grounds
Thanks also must go to Marama from Taupo District Council for supplying us with the road cones and rubbish bins.
And finally thanks to the Mangakino Festival and Events Crew.

Kia ora e te whanau here are some important com's for our Santa Parade, Market and Whanau Fun day this Sunday.

1. If you are joining us in the Santa Parade please meet out the back of the Mangakino Fire Station between 10am and 10.30am. Please be ready to leave at 11am. Marlene will be there to direct you.

2. If you have booked a stall for the Market this will be held on the school field Karamu Street, Mangakino, opposite the St John Ambulance Station. You can start setting up from 10am. Megan and Suzie will be there directing you to where you can set up. Please ensure you have arrived and are sited by 10.45am.

3. For our visitors and our Mangakino Community please remember we do have road closures in place for a short period of time. See public notice below.

4. Please support our whanau who have taken precious time out of their days to organise their floats by coming along and yes Santa will be there. You can lineup anywhere along the sides of the road along the red line for the best view. Please keep the road way clear for safety purposes.

We have a super day planned for you starting at 11am with the Santa Parade, Chair-o-plane, Dunk Tank, Bouncy Castle, Food Stalls, Christmas Market and the Mangakino Pool will also be open.

If you have a stall booked for the Christmas Market on the 7th December your payment is due now. There is no payment option on the day so ensure you are not disappointed.

Ngā mihi nui to all those spookers that came to the Halloween Disco yesterday.
Huge thanks to Mangakino School for decorating the hall for us. And to Carla Blockley for donating her time & blowup decorations for the hall. Plus the appearances of SpongeBob & Patrick during the night 🥰

We are now seeking float registrations for the parade to be held on Sunday 7th December 2025.

Please ensure your float is registered by 30th September 2025 at the latest.
Register at The Trading Post or email: [email protected]

Note: A minimum of 10 floats will be required for the parade to go ahead.

Get your creative juices flowing - decorate your bikes, scooters and mobility scooters to join in the fun too 😁

The parade will also coincide with our Xmas family fun day - more details about this later.
