🚨 NEW FOR 2026 – THE CADET CHALLENGE! 🚨

The Bayleys Sheep Dog Trials is excited to introduce a new dimension to this year's event – the ** Wilson Hellaby Cadet Challenge**, proudly sponsored by **Wilson Hellaby Premium Meats**.

For the first time, cadets from **Future Farmers Waikato**, **Pukemiro Station**, and **Smedley Station** will go head-to-head in a friendly but fiercely competitive contest to determine which team will take home the inaugural **Cadet Challenge Trophy**.

The stakes are high! The winning team will get:
🏆 The Cadet Challenge Perpetual Trophy to take back to their station
🥇 A commemorative medal for each of the 3 winning team members
😎 Ultimate bragging rights for the next 12 months

This exciting competition showcases the next generation of rural leaders, highlighting the skills, teamwork, and determination that are shaping the future of New Zealand agriculture.

A huge thank you to the incredibly talented Katrina Crowe for her generous donation of beautifully handmade paracord dog leads, which will be available for sale at the trial.

Each lead has been crafted with care, skill, and plenty of love, making them not only practical but also a wonderful item for any dog owner.

What makes this donation even more special is that 100% of the proceeds from these leads will go directly to supporting the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter, helping ensure this vital service can continue saving lives throughout our community.

🔥 CHARITY AUCTION – FRIDAY 26TH JUNE 🔥

One of the highlights of the Bayleys Sheep Dog Trials will be our Charity Auction on Friday 26th June, with **100% of the proceeds from all auction items going directly to the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter**.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors and supporters, we have some outstanding items up for grabs. Every bid will help support a service that saves lives throughout our region, providing critical emergency assistance when it is needed most.

Whether you're looking for something special, keen to support a great cause, or simply want to be part of the excitement, we encourage everyone to come along, get involved, and bid generously.

The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter is there for our communities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is our opportunity to give something back and help ensure this vital service can continue its life-saving work.
