One of the most rewarding things I think we can do in India is empower the women with a trade. This is our 20th sewing center and we have probably helped about 400 women, who go on to provide for their families and then their villages at large. Great stuff.

While in India, I visited two sewing centers and gave away 21 sewing machines to women who graduated after a six month sewing course. These women will go on to begin their own businesses and as you can see, they are very proficient in sewing already.

Here is an update on the Foundation's activities recently. Two sewing centers are running and food continues to be distributed to very poor villagers in the tribal areas. Also, a school has been restarted and village children are also being taught.
