DRACARYS [ID #20091]

Male
4 months
Location: Hillcrest - Home Adoption

Personality: Dracarys came into care alongside his four siblings as a very frightened kitten. At first, he was so scared of people that his foster mum needed gloves and a towel just to handle him safely. Since then, he has made incredible progress and has grown into a sweet boy who now enjoys human company. These days, he’ll happily curl up beside his foster mum for a nap.

Like many shy cats, Dracarys will hiss when meeting new people or adjusting to unfamiliar environments. He will need a patient and understanding home willing to give him the time and space to settle in at his own pace.

The best way to bond with Dracarys is feather teaser toys, temptation/bonkers treats and cooked chicken. He loves being fussed over and will reward you with purrs.

Ideal home: He would do best in a home with other cats, as he loves feline companionship and gains confidence from having them around.
He has been fostered in a home with other cats, teenagers and a calm cat savvy dog.

To help him settle in, Dracarys should start out in a smaller room with limited hiding spots. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he can gradually be introduced to the rest of the house.
He will need to be kept inside for the first few months. Please ensure all external doors and windows are kept closed to prevent him accidentally escaping.

Adoption fee: $ 250

ELLIE [ID #19961]

Female
4.5 years old
Location: Waitakere - Home Adoption

Personality: Meet Ellie!
Ellie is the life of the party and she wants the world to know it!
This confident wee girl struts into a room ready to make friends.

Ellie is mostly deaf, which means she relies more on visual cues and vibrations rather than sound. Cats like Ellie adapt incredibly well — she doesn’t know she’s any different and it doesn’t hold her back at all. She communicates beautifully in her own way and is very expressive.

She loves to play, chatter, climb and explore, and she’ll happily let you know when she wants cuddles (or dinner!). Ellie would suit a loving home that understands her needs — ideally an indoor or secure environment — and is happy to use clear visual signals and routines.

If you’re after a confident companion full of sparkle who will thrive with a little understanding, Ellie is your girl 🐾✨

Ideal home: Ellie would suit a wide range of homes — families with older children (8+), adults, or seniors — and gets along well with other cats. She does not live with dogs and should be kept indoors only due to her being mostly deaf.

Adoption fee: $ 100

DYLAN [ID #20090]

Male
4 months
Location: Auckland City - Home Adoption

Personality:
Meet Dylan. Dylan may have a few little quirks, but underneath them is one of the sweetest and most rewarding kittens you’ll ever meet. When Dilly first arrived in our care, he was extremely fearful of people and needed to be wrapped securely and handled with gloves. Since then, he has made incredible progress and has slowly learned that humans can actually be pretty wonderful. Now, he enjoys gentle attention, loves being patted, and absolutely melts for a good b***y scratch.
Dylan is an independent little man who prefers all four paws on the ground, so being picked up or having his tummy touched isn’t really his thing. However, once he feels safe and comfortable, he is incredibly affectionate and loves cuddling up beside you when you’re sitting or lying down. His foster believes he can feel intimidated by sudden movements or quick approaches, so he thrives with calm, patient people who allow him to come to them in his own time.
Dilly is also a huge foodie and will do just about anything for a Churu treat! Feather teaser toys and snacks are the quickest way to win him over. While he may still give a little hiss when meeting new people, this usually passes very quickly once he realises he’s safe.

Ideal Home:
Dylan is looking for a calm and understanding home with adopters who will give him the time and patience he needs to settle in at his own pace. To help him feel secure, he should initially be kept in a smaller room with limited hiding spaces before gradually being introduced to the rest of the home as his confidence grows. Because he can still be a little nervous, all external doors and windows must be kept securely shut during his first few months to prevent any accidental escapes.
Dylan absolutely adores other cats and would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly feline companion to help continue building his confidence. He is also used to a calm, cat-savvy dog and patient children.
Watching Dylan learn to trust and come out of his shell has been incredibly special, and the right home will be rewarded with the sweetest little companion!

Adoption fee: $250
