DR. MARY JANE FALEMEI MATAFONUAFOTU TAUELANGI KIVALU 👏🏽🎓✨

To God be the glory for this magnificent milestone!
Today, we don’t just celebrate a doctoral journey - we celebrate the incredible heart of a woman who gave her all for her family, Kilikali church/youth & 🇹🇴 community while reaching for the stars.

From the first year of your Bachelor of Commerce to MBA to now the final demanding hours of your DBA at the University of Otago, your journey has been a masterclass in sacrifice.

We saw the exhaustion in your eyes as you poured into your child and your home as well as our church/youth group, only to sit down and pour into your studies long after the rest of the world was asleep.

There were moments when the climb felt impossible - when the struggles of life and the pressures of academia collided.

But in those moments of sacrifice, you leaned on the Lord, and His grace carried you through. You showed your child what it means to be a woman of Proverbs 31(strength) working with willing hands and looking well to the ways of her household, even while conquering the business world.

Her children arise up, and call her blessed(Proverbs 31:28)

Today, we do exactly that. You have shown your family,
church/youth that through Christ, no barrier is too high and no sacrifice is in vain.

You have turned your struggles into a legacy of perseverance that your child/children will carry forever.

As you look forward to graduate from Otago University with your DBA, know that you have not only earned these prestigious titles but you have also earned our deepest admiration.

May the Lord bless the work of your hands and open doors of favor that will provide for you and your family beyond your wildest dreams.

✨ FEBRUARY REFLECTION ✨

So much has been happening within our families, within the church, and within our community! And as much as we love to update, we sometimes drift with the time and forget to reflect 😆 So much to be grateful for and a lot more to pray for 🙏 Short update for the shortest month of the year

📚 BACK TO SCHOOL - youngins were back in school and our youth were back to studies this month. Routines and scheduling started to return.
🎶 CHOIR PRACTICE - regular choir practices as usual for the church on Saturdays, which our young people contribute immensely to.
📝SUNDAY SCHOOL CURRICULUM - we finally got given our syllabus for this year’s Sunday School curriculum. Bring on the next 54 verses to learn off by heart 👀😂

It was also a month of celebration for many milestones.

Happy Belated Birthday Month 🥳 LISALA NGAHE 🥳

We know you had a great birthday with your loved ones! You are one of the smartest and most humble youngins we know, and we are blessed to have such a soul of care and nurture amongst our youth. God has the most planned for you for this year, we can’t wait to see it unfold!

✨ JANUARY REFLECTION ✨

So many things to be grateful for as we move into a new month. January has been a busy and blessed first month for our youth 🙌🏽 Here is a recap of what we’ve been up to in Jan:

🙏 UIKELOTU - the first week of the year dedicated to prayers to ensure a prosperous year ahead.
🧐 SIVI LAULĒSONI - our youth members sat their Sunday School exams for the year 2025.
🎓 SAPATE AKO - otherwise known as Education Sunday, a day dedicated to acknowledging the importance of education.
🌊 HOLIDAYS BREAKUP - a day well spent together before the school year begins. We spent the day at Moana Pools before sharing a meal together at Kilikali House.

Whilst we have also comforted some members during a time of loss, we also had another birthday of one of our own.

We trust you had a great birthday! You are so talented and intelligent, and we are blessed to have such a helpful and genuine soul as part of our youth. We can’t wait to see what God has planned for you for this year, but we definitely know it will be amazing!

Last weekend, we held our annual Christmas celebration for our youth 🥰 we are so grateful for all of their dedication and hardwork this year, and so we also celebrated our youth who managed to have the best Sunday School attendance for the year 🙌🏽
