It is our mission to incorporate learning through what we all know children love and that is play! This term we will be focusing on numbers, colours and shapes. This is a great idea for those of you who have your children going to daycare 2-3 times a week.
Off-days can be spent at playgroup 3 hours each session, any day that you have signed up for. We are flexible as well so you are able to turn up anytime you like. All you need to do is sign in and sign out. Based at the heart of The community of Fordlands. We are just across the road from the Bellingham Reserve. It has a mini playground and a huge field that our playgroup likes to visit at least once or twice a week depending on the weather. We use a little room that was given to us by the centre, which is cosy enough for our small enrolment list. We have a limit to how many children can attend and that is a maximum of 6 children aged under 5. However, enrolments are always open with the exception of being on a wait-list. We are a non-profit organisation founded by Ako Tika ltd. Because it is a non-profit organisation our Playgroup will be run by Volunteer Co-Ordinator Tia Kahukiwa. Who will always have contact with The Ministry Of Education. Tia Kahukiwa will be your go to person if you have any concerns or enquiries. Also, parents who attend have full say about how the playgroup runs so if you express your interests she will do all she can to make a change that will benefit all parents. Coffee & Tea is available to all caregivers. Each family is to bring one fruit and a packed lunch with drink/bottle. (All fruit will be cut into tiny pieces and distributed among all children during morning tea). Kia Ora Koutou Katoa!
