The RAW Preview Exhibition is OPEN!

Head to the Raglan Old School Arts Centre between 10am and 2pm daily, for a taster of what will be on show at Raglan Arts Weekend...

There are nearly 96 artworks on show with each studio providing two pieces. If you are lucky enough to buy a 300x300 artwork for $200, all proceeds go to the running of RAW, a not for profit event. Other artwork sales go to our awesome artists. Come and plan your route and see what we have in store!

‘The Hatch’ is our three-day exhibition over the RAW weekend, centred around nurturing, celebrating and show-casing emerging artists from the Whāingaroa community. Featuring 17 artists in 2026, it explores creative expression through a range of mediums and artistic traditions, including drawing, photography, stone carving, textiles, jewellery, painting and glass work.

The Hatch is brought to you by Rangitahi Peninsula who have been the most incredible partner to work with...we wouldn't be able to support our new artists or have many of our other RAW initiatives without them...thank you, team!

The Hatch Opening Night is on 23 October 2026 @ 6.30pm - All welcome.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that the lead artwork for RAW 2026 is....
SHORTYDUBS!

Shortydubs (a.k.a. Brad Dring) is no stranger to RAW and is simply going from strength to strength every year. His iconic style is proving to be a firm favourite amongst RAW visitors (Brad was one of our best sellers in the past two RAWs) and we are very proud to have one of his artworks profiling our event.

This is also a landmark year for Raglan with the WSL and we're also pleased we can give a subtle nod to this world surf event in our chosen artwork style for this year, from a Raglan artist who really seems to be making waves!

The chosen artwork is entitled 'Bored Riders' and it is a mixed media on wood panel artwork.

Brad's signature style will be featured on the Raglan Arts Guide front cover, as well as on signage and other marketing material.
