Franklin Community Arts Franklin Community Arts is an initiative from the Franklin Local Board to support a diverse range of community arts projects across the local board region.

The Franklin Local Board are supporting a range of arts projects throughout the board area in 2016. The Franklin Community Arts Brokers are Bronwyn Bent and Sally Barnett.

More musical talent in Franklin than you can throw a thrift shop CD at, get in amongst it in the welcoming atmosphere of the Franklin Centre in Pukekohe.

This Saturday 30th May, 10am - 11.30am NZ Modern School of Music will be putting on a showcase of student musical performances. Come down to Franklin Arts Centre and enjoy some live tunes.

Now it's 6th year, this popular music series hosted in the stunning historic All Souls Church in Clevedon, brings some of the finest musicians in the country to local audiences. The 2026 Autumn season kicks off 3 May with the first of four concerts. Check their page for updates, bookings are always advised as this is an intimate venue and frequently sold out.

🗳Know some one who would be perfect to represent East Franklin on our local board? Nominate a mate! Nominations are open until 31 March 2026.

To stand, your two nominators must be enrolled on the electoral roll in the Wairoa subdivision, which includes Beachlands, Clevedon, Whitford, Maraetai, Kawakawa Bay and Orere Point.

Get a 2026 Community Arts Grant.

Music, performance, visual arts, digital storytelling, poetry, workshops and anything that brings people together locally to express themselves through art-making.
We are now welcoming applications for small grants for artists or arts groups living or working in the Franklin area. The Expressions of Interest (EOI) process encourages you to share your ideas where-ever you’re at with it, we can help to develop your project or better articulate it for others.
Your project needs to take place in the first half of 2026 (March - July) for this round of grants. EOIs must be received by Fri 23 Jan.
