Hi, im reaching out on behalf of my neighbor who now has her 3 grandchildren in her care, shes on a pension and barely makes ends meet, she shared with me today her concerns about how she was going to need a way to provide for them until her appointment with MSD which is next Tuesday morning at 11am. Ive helped with few noodles & bread, is there anything you maybe able to help with please, anything is much appreciated. Thank you for all that you do to help our Community families. Blessings.

As Christmas draws near, I thought to get a good head start this year 🥰😍 As a community, we want to help make sure that every child has something special to open on Christmas day.

Our Shoebox Christmas Initiative is now open & available for families who may be struggling and need a little extra help with presents this Christmas. 🎅✨

Parents and caregivers can register children aged 1–16 years by sending me a private message with:

💙 Gender
⭐ Interests and things they

Let’s come together, spread some Christmas joy and show our children what a caring community can do. 🎄🎁

We have a family of 4 ( Dad & 3 kids) who need help with food for 3 nights please. Dads benefit with MSD has been suspended as he now qualifies for ACC weekly compensation which doesn't start till Wednesday. We have a Mum & 3 children who are stranded due to a cracked radiator on her car. Mum has no family up here, lives in Auckland & needs help -

🩸Accommodation for 2 nights.
Wayfarer have offered Accommodation at $200 per night, a tad steep 🤔 but need to be grateful it was discounted.

🩸Food for 3 nights 1 adult & 3 children ages 9, 7 & 5

🩸Mechanic who is able to visit/assess/quote the repairs needed to get them home safely. The vehicle is central in town.
Plan B: The car stays in Kaitaia & I source an advocate to source help from Work & Income for bus tickets.

💚💛💚 POST CLOSED: Thank you for the Amazing support, advice & advocacy. Nan is on the road safe with her moko bound for Kaitaia.

Hi Deirdre, may I please get help/advice/referral for my neighbor if it may be possible. Shes awaiting to be discharged from Starship this morning with her moko, unfortunately she has no gas to travel back home or food for the weekend. Ive taken a photo of her power account which has been debited twice leaving her in a desperate position. She has phoned Work & Income and has a phone appointment Tuesday, which is a long way away for her without help. We have tried friends & family for help, with no luck. Please if you can help us or point us in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Grateful for any help.
